In a tweet, The Challenge: USA revealed whether or not the Big Brother cast are single and if they are open to showmances. Alyssa was in a short-lived showmance with her alliance member Christian Birkenberger on Big Brother 23, but she revealed that as of right now she is single. Kyland shared that he is single, and "I came into this game telling myself there is no reason to mingle or talk to anyone. And then I come in. We got some very good-looking ladies here. And it is already in my head like, 'Kyland, focus! Focus!'" Tiffany declared that she is single and "I stay ready," holding up her hands and saying, "No rings."
Enzo shared that coming into the house, he is "very single." He said, "I know there's these Love Island girls running around here, so we'll see. Maybe Enzo hooks up. We'll see. Maybe there's a showmance in the future." David revealed that he is "single, ready to mingle, yo. This is The Challenge. I heard you can like find love ... maybe just summer love. I'm with it." Azäh said that she is "single as a pringle. I am not in a relationship. No siree." Two of the The Challenge: USA contestants, Angela and Derek, are in relationships with people they met on their Big Brother seasons. Angela is engaged to Tyler Crispen, and she said that a lot of people know them as "Tangela." Derek declared that he is in a relationship with his girlfriend Claire Rehfuss. He then said, "Hopefully, I don't meet anyone else. Wait! Don't use that!," laughing at the end of the clip.
The Challenge: USA is sure to be an exciting summer show because of its physical and mental contests, but showmances will make it even more entertaining. As long as they don't distract players from the game, showmances can actually help them emotionally because they create a loyal system. Whatever happens, the Big Brother houseguests will be ready to expect the unexpected on The Challenge: USA.
The Challenge: USA premieres Wednesday, July 6 at 9:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
