The Boys season 3, but now that they are confirmed, I'm amazed by how good it sounds. When I heard that Eric Kripke was behind Prime Video's seminal The Boys, I couldn't believe my luck. Kripke had secretly been one of TV's most hilarious writers and showrunners for decades, long before The Boys rose to prominence. In Supernatural, Kripke proved why he was perfect to tackle The Boys — and now he can bring both shows together.

Launching in 2005, Supernatural managed to run until 2020, presenting America's longest-running live-action fantasy TV show. The Boys appears to be adopting the opposite tactics, with Kripke putting a hard stop to it at the end of The Boys season 5. Knowing that The Boys was due to end in season 5, I was watching season 4 anxiously for a sign of the Supernatural reunion I've been longing for since Jensen Ackles ed the cast. Kripke finally confirmed that it will indeed be coming, and it's beyond my wildest dreams.

Eric Kripke Confirmed Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, & Jensen Ackles Will All Appear In The Same Scenes In The Boys Season 5

The Boys' Supernatural Reunion Will Be Huge

Kripke has confirmed to ending of The Boys season 4, it was starting to look like Ackles and Padalecki, who played Sam and Dean Winchester in Supernatural, might never reunite in The Boys. Some were even hoping for Collins to the proceedings. Collins played Castiel, an angel who was the Winchesters' ally from Supernatural season 4 to its final, epic season, ending on November 19, 2020.

As if all the actors appearing in the same season of The Boys wasn't enough, having them share a story is bound to be epic.

Frenchie and Kimiko's hookup in The Boys was one of the highlights of the whole show, but I'm relieved to know that Kripke hasn't yet pulled all of his tricks out of his sleeve just yet. Kripke may have saved the coup de grâce to The Boys' competition for season 5, finally treating fans to a reunion between Ackles, Padalecki, and Collins in the same season — and in the "same frame" and "same storyline" as well. As if all the actors appearing in the same season of The Boys wasn't enough, having them share a story is bound to be epic.

Who Could Padalecki & Collins Be Playing In Soldier Boy's The Boys Season 5 Story?

Kripke Has Not Revealed The Full Cast of The Boys Season 5

Sam, Dean, and Castiel on the street in Supernatural

In his interview with TV Insider, Kripke did not reveal the parts that Padalecki and Collins will play in The Boys season 4, but they will inevitably be wickedly appropriate. Ackles is incredible as Soldier Boy, and I can't wait to see his old chemistry with Padalecki and Collins fired back up. I'm even more intrigued to see which absurd subversion of American culture and superhero tropes Kripke will be pasting onto this trio. I hope the trio's roles in The Boys will somehow parallel their roles in Supernatural.

I can see Padalecki playing a supe opposite Ackles in The Boys.

If anyone is capable of performing such blatant fan service in a way that slots perfectly into the plot of season 5, it is Kripke. Soldier Boy's appearance in Gen V proved his ongoing importance to the overall The Boys franchise, so Kripke clearly has no intention of sidelining him in season 5. Ackles' role will get bigger, as it seems that Homelander may wake him up from his slumber. I can see Padalecki playing a supe opposite Ackles in The Boys, paralleling Ackles and Padalecki's partnership in Supernatural, before Padalecki is killed off in some hilarious way.

The Boys franchise is a satirical and dark superhero series based on the comic book by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. It explores a world where superheroes, or "Supes," are corrupt, violent, and morally bankrupt, all controlled by the powerful corporation Vought International. The story centers around two opposing groups: The Boys, a vigilante team aiming to expose and defeat the corrupt heroes, and The Seven, Vought's elite team of Supes led by the ruthless Homelander.
