The Boys season 4 is shaping up to be the most explosive season yet, with numerous supes returning, and new powered people ing the fight. The Amazon original series is based on the popular comics by Garh Ennis and Darick Robertson, which was adapted for TV by Eric Kripke. The show has received rave reviews over the previous three seasons, as well as inspiring an exciting spin-off series, Gen V, that created just as much buzz as the original.

Homelander is often the center of the show, and season 4 looks to be shaping up in a similar way with his trial and struggle for power in the middle of everything.

13 Ryan Butcher

Ryan Butcher was raised by his biological mother, Becca Butcher, in a secret compound for most of his life. After his mother's accidental death, Ryan chose to be with Billy Butcher, Becca's husband, but Billy pushed him away to protect him. Unfortunately, as Ryan needed comfort and affection with his mothers recent ing, his biological father, Homelander, stepped in to claim him as his own. Ryan is a confused young boy, simply looking for love and acceptance where he can get it, but he is also shaping up to be one of the most powerful supes in the show.

12 Starlight

Can Generate And Manipulate Light

Starlight has always aspired to be a hero, and from a young age, she used her gift to help others and make a difference. Eventually, she was able to the most elite hero team in the world, The Seven, but she quickly learned that the heroes were not always that heroic. Over the last few seasons, she has gotten close to Hughie, who she formed a romantic relationship with, and made a vocal effort to fight the corruption within The Seven and Vought. For many, she is the face of the rebellion against the supes, and Homelander's primary rival.

11 Kimiko Miyashiro

Superhuman Strength

Kimiko Miyashiro has been a largely mysterious character for most of the show, appearing as a mute girl with powers that The Boys took in. She formed a close relationship with Frenchie, and has saved her friends on many occasions. Kimiko has super strength, a powerful healing factor, and super agility and endurance. She returns alongside Starlight and The Boys to take down the supes and Vought, expose their secrets to the world, and break free from a system that encourages supes to do as they please, at whatever expense to the rest of humanity.

10 Firecracker

Can Create Explosions From Her Hands

Firecracker is one of the new supes ing The Boys in season 4. It appears that she is a replacement for Starlight in The Seven as she has a southern background, and is being used to build a wholesome middle American image of a hero. However, she has yet to reveal more about her background, or how she operates as a hero, but judging by what Homelander wants the supes to become, in of "wrathful gods," it appears that Firecracker will not be nearly so sweet and kind as Starlight was.

9 Sister Sage

Can Control Plant Growth And Communicate With Plant Life

This version of the character was always willing to bend the rules and do what she needed to in order to climb the ladder in the company.

Sister Sage, aka, Jessica Bradley, is another new hero ing The Seven in season 4. Her characters name is a reference to the comics where one character with the same name worked in Vought as the personal assistant to the CEO James Stillwell. This version of the character was always willing to bend the rules and do what she needed to in order to climb the ladder in the company. However, in the series, very little is known about the character so far. Despite this, she appears to have a great influence on Homelander, who she appears to advise.

8 Black Noir

Enhanced Strength, Agility And Durability

Black Noir was one of the core of The Seven when it first began. However, the hero inside the mask cannot be the same person that occupied the role before. Homelander learned about Black Noir's knowledge of his father, Soldier Boy, and the fact that he was still alive. In a fit of rage, Homelander savagely murdered Black Noir, and walked away from the corpse. Black Noir does not have a healing factor capable of surviving such an attack, so the character inside the suit must be someone new in season 4, which has yet to be revealed.

7 The Deep

Can Breathe Underwater

The Deep is one of the more controversial supes in The Seven, having faced intense accusations about his moral character. However, it appears that he is firmly back in the club as Homelander leads his supes into a new age. The Deep has a lot of resentment, but he is not always great at placing these emotions into the right outlet, or directing them where they would best be suited. However, Homelander has tried and tested The Deep on several occasions to ensure he will remain loyal and faithful to him, which is likely why he keeps him around.

6 A-Train

Can Move And React At Superhuman Speeds

Likewise, A-Train has been a controversial figure on the elite hero team, but through his actions, he has shown Homelander that he is more scared of him, than he is capable of leaving his life of fame and riches behind. A-Train still looks conflicted in the trailer for The Boys season 4, but thus far, he remains a faithful underling to Homelander who will turn in traitors for the chance of being in the good graces of his leader. A-Train could become a pivotal part of overthrowing Homelander, but until he grows a backbone, he remains firmly in his shadow.

5 Cate Dunlap

Can Control The Minds

Cate was one of the main characters in Gen V before she turned on her friends and revealed her true colors as a pawn to villains like Dean Indira Shetty. Cate struggled to find love and affection at home, so she leaped at the opportunity to build a close relationship with Shetty. However, Shetty used her as a tool to control the minds of others, including her boyfriend and other close friends, and further her own evil purposes of trying to rid the world of supes for good. Cate now s the cast of The Boys alongside Homelander's other supes.
