The Night Court season 3 finale reunited Simon Helberg and Melissa Rauch, which leads to a new revelation about the sad state of the Pasadena gang actors 6 years after The Big Bang Theory ended its run 2019, it wasn't because of the lack of interest. It was still broadcast TV's number 1 comedy and CBS wanted to continue it for a couple of more seasons — something that was shared just a month before the cancelation news came down. The majority of the cast also wanted to keep doing the show.
That being said, Sheldon actor, Jim Parsons' decision to leave the show at the end of The Big Bang Theory season 12 compelled the rest of the ensemble to decide that it was best to wrap up the show with a complete cast. Ultimately, the nerd-centric sitcom was able to deliver an emotionally-satisfying send-off to Pasadena gang despite an uneven final season. Still, however, there remains to be a continued clamor over the show, with The Big Bang Theory becoming 2024's most streamed series.
Melissa Rauch & Simon Helberg Reunite In Night Court Season 3 Finale
Bernie & Howie In Another Universe
After 6 years, Rauch and Helberg once again share the screen in the Night Court season 3 finale. In the outing, Judge Abby Stone (Rauch) is getting ready to get engaged when Helberg's character resurfaces and is revealed to be her secret husband. It's something that was never hinted at before, so it's a major curveball for both the viewers and the show. To make things more interesting, the reveal happens at the very last minutes of the Night Court season 3 finale, which means that the fallout from the chaotic scene is saved for next season — assuming it gets renewed.
Helberg Reveals That The Cast Of The Big Bang Theory Doesn't Talk Anymore
The Pasadena Gang Has Lost Their Communications
While Helberg's appearance in the Night Court season 3 finale only happens at the end of the episode, he actively promoted his cameo with Rauch. Considering that NBC has yet to guarantee the show's return next TV cycle, they wanted a boost in ratings to convince the network to give it another year. In an interview with ET, the former co-stars talk about how it's great to be reunited, but Helberg also reveals an important bit of information that informs the kind of relationship The Big Bang Theory cast now has 6 years after it ended. Read his quote below:
"No one talks anymore, so I got nervous for a second... who died or something?"
Obviously, not working with each other every day will naturally result in people drifting apart. However, the fact that none of them talk to each other, even just to randomly catch up is sad. The Friends cast has remained close with each other over the years, and even the actors from Modern Family. Unfortunately, that isn't the case for The Big Bang Theory's main ensemble.
What Helberg's Reveal Means For A Possible The Big Bang Theory Reunion
The Pasadena Gang Needs To Reconvene
The Big Bang Theory universe continues to thrive after it and Young Sheldon ended with Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, as well as Stuart Fails To Save The Universe — which will be the first show from franchise to land on a streaming service. Despite those shows, there's still unquestionable interest in seeing Helberg, Rauch, and the rest of the original cast for a The Big Bang Theory reunion. Some of them have expressed their interest in doing it, including Kaley Cuoco and Mayim Bialik. In fact, some of them are even interested in reprising their respective roles in the offshoot.

Stuart's The Big Bang Theory Spinoff Already Has A Replacement For All Of The Original Cast (Except 1)
Now that the next The Big Bang Theory spinoff's cast is confirmed, it's clear that it has the perfect replacements for the Pasadena gang, except 1.
Ultimately, the chances of a The Big Bang Theory reunion are always there. That being said, the cast not having any regular communication with each other will make it trickier to pull off. In any case, it's still unlikely that the much-clamored reunion will happen anytime soon. The majority of the original cast of the Pasadena gang are busy with their respective projects, so the logistics of the special event will be very difficult to pull off.
