The now fully released mobile online card game not spend money in Marvel SNAP, there are plenty of opportunities to acquire strong cards that can be upgraded individually throughout the fast-paced matches of this title. Additionally, there are progressive Pools in which players may find new cards within as they level up their Collections, opening up new options for simply playing the game.

Arguably the best cards in Marvel SNAP for both beginners and veterans of the game are Iron Man and Mr. Fantastic for an Ongoing Deck, Heimdall, and Human Torch for a Move Deck, Morbius and Apocalypse for a Discard Deck, Venom and Gambit for a Destroy Deck, and Devil Dinosaur and the Collector for a Draw Deck. In order for players to obtain new cards, they must either purchase the season or gather enough Collection Points by upgrading their current cards. Although some players consider the season a prime example of Marvel SNAP's greedy microtransactions, it rewards players with a free card based on the current featured hero or villain.

Unlocking the Best Cards

Since Marvel SNAP has adopted a free-to-play model, most unlockable cards in the game come from grinding out Collection Points through certain challenges or objectives presented. Players may earn Boosters, the in-game currency Gold, or even a random card from time to time by just playing the game for a long enough period. Collection Points are also earned by upgrading cards from a player's normal inventory, some of which were provided during tutorial missions. Cards progress from Common to Infinity rarity through spendable Credits that level up a player in Marvel SNAP, building toward a Collection Cache box that could contain a rare Mystery Card.

Grow Powerful Abilities Over Time with Iron Man and Mr. Fantastic

Available through the earliest Pools in the game and the initial structure deck, Iron Man and Mr. Fantastic both have Ongoing abilities, meaning their effects are ive and grow over time. Great tools for early in a game, Iron Man is capable of doubling his location's total Power, bolstering nearly every other card in the game. Mr. Fantastic doubles down on this philosophy, giving a +2 Power bonus to adjacent locations. Players looking to Marvel SNAP will find Ongoing decks a great way to meet challenge requirements, with Iron Man and Mr. Fantastic being excellent tools to that style of play.

Become Unpredictable with Heimdall and the Human Torch

Move Decks in Marvel SNAP are perhaps the most adaptable in the game, giving boosts to Power for cards that don't remain in the same spot. The Human Torch fits this functionality perfectly, gaining a double Power increase whenever they move spaces. Heimdall reinforces that bonus by moving all cards the player controls one space to the left On Reveal, controlling the board well similarly to other competitive meta decks in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel.

Build Power Fast with Morbius and Apocalypse

Sacrifice through a Discard Deck allows players to dictate the flow of their cards without a foe's input, quickly stacking effects from the self-destruction into powerful cards. No other cards define this deck archetype in Marvel SNAP more than Morbius, whose Ongoing effect creates +2 Power for each card a player discards during a game. The main objective of a Discard Deck is to create a ridiculous surplus of Power by getting rid of cards, which Apocalypse certainly defines. Once Apocalypse is discarded, they are added back into a player's hand with +4 Power, which totals to a ridiculous 12 for one of the highest value cards in the game.

Destroy the Enemy Field with Venom and Gambit

Unlike in the best Hearthstone decks, winning a game of Marvel SNAP does not involve reducing a player's health to zero but building more Power by the end of the six rounds. A surefire way to ensure a foe's total Power never exceeds to higher numbers involves destroying cards on either players' side of the field. Venom may not seem valuable at first, only having 1 Power at the cost of 3 to summon him. However, Venom destroys all the other cards at a location On Reveal, absorbing their power into their own to create a powerful asset on the field. Strategic destruction leads to a more customizable board for additional tools. On the other hand, Gambit also seems weak, but summoning him lets players discard a card to destroy one random card of their opponent's to ensure their plans get disrupted.

Cover Every Option with Devil Dinosaur and The Collector

No game inspired by card sets from Magic: The Gathering would feel complete without a Deck that tried to draw as many cards as humanly possible. Devil Dinosaur gains +2 Power for every card in the player's hand, and cards such as The Collector also add +1 Power every time that same player adds a card to their hand. With enough snowballing effects or simply drawing a card during a round, players are able to create cards with such high levels of Power that they nearly win games by themselves. Getting the best cards in Marvel SNAP does require leveling up enough to pick from later pools, but the potential in some Deck archetypes makes that endeavor very desirable for dedicated players.
