Though a filming start date has yet to be announced, The Bear season 3's release window has been confirmed. Created by Christopher Storer, the restaurant-focused dramedy has proven to be one of the surprise viral hits of the past few years, with its writing, cast and character development all scoring rave reviews across its first two seasons, earning it 10 Emmy wins in season 1 and four Golden Globe wins across both seasons. With it also setting multiple viewership records, FX renewed it for season 3 shortly after its predecessor's Hulu debut.
While appearing at FX's Television Critics Association , in which Screen Rant was in attendance of, John Landgraf offered an exciting update on The Bear season 3. The FX Chairman confirmed that season 3 has been set for a June 2024 release window, though not revealing whether filming had actually begun on the next set of episodes for the show. Landgraf also indicated that the full-season release schedule utilized by season 2 is currently the plan for the next season as well, explaining that the decision for its predecessor was so audiences could quicker get to "that hopeful ending" given how "anxiety-inducing" the show was overall.
The Bear Season 3's Update Is Exciting (& Concerning)
For those still reeling from the Bear season 2's finale, in which Jeremy Allen White's Carmy suffered an emotional breakdown while being trapped in the titular restaurant's walk-in refrigerator and damaged his relationships with various people, the confirmation that season 3 will premiere this summer is likely exciting. There are a variety of other plot threads that still need resolving heading into the next season, including whether Carmy's mom, Jamie Lee Curtis' Donna, will actually eat at The Bear, whether Carmy apologizes to Claire, and how Marcus recovers from his mom's medical emergency.
While a swifter return is exciting for fans of the show, there may be some cause for concern in The Bear season 3 premiering so soon as well. With the renewal coming after the Writers Guild of America strikes concluded, it seems likely that the scripts for the next season had been completed prior to the 2023 holiday season, leaving the writing team plenty of time to make any late tweaks to the new episodes. Additionally, getting the ensemble cast's schedules lined up so quickly means that they may have been ready sooner to go sooner than some expected.

10 Interesting Storylines We Hope To See In The Bear Season 3
After an intense and eventful season 2 finale, the possibilities for what could (and should) happen in The Bear's season 3 are endless.
That being said, with White previously indicating that The Bear season 3 would begin filming at an unspecified early 2024 date, it's unclear how long the creative team have to turn around the episodes. If FX and Hulu were open to exploring a weekly release schedule, it could give them more time to ensure that the next season lives up to its predecessors, while a shorter turnaround time could lead to some corners being cut. However, with Landgraf clearly confident in bringing the show back so soon, this quick return could prove a promising sign for future seasons' turnaround times.
The first two seasons of The Bear are currently available to stream on Hulu.
