In the release notes accompanying the software update, Tesla's Full Self-Driving beta 10.4 was described as being 35-percent improved with regard to pedestrians and, in the video, it does seem much more aware of people that approach the curb. There does appear to be some sort of confusion that was introduced into the system, however, since a relatively easy turn was met with great hesitancy and doubt. The car turned the wheel left, then right, then left again, before the human driver took over.

The same loop, chosen because it often had a fair amount of pedestrian traffic, was taken multiple times, giving makes no sense from a human viewpoint and that is why an attentive driver is still critical for Tesla's almost Full Self-Driving beta software.
