Yet, when you're a teenager, none of this matters and you fell head over heels with the cute popular guy or somehow felt connected to the story. This movie was a staple in many teen girls' DVD collection. Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen combines music, drama, love and band obsession into one teen film. The musical comedy stars Lindsay Lohan as Mary Elizabeth "Lola" Steppe.
Lola moves from New York to New Jersey and is an aspiring musician with an obsession with a rock band called Sidarthur. She becomes the lead in the school musical, winning against the popular girl. Ice skating films were highly popular in the 2000s with films such as The Cutting Edge. But there was another teen film that tackled the ice skating storyline, Ice Princess. Casey Carlyle (Michelle Trachtenberg) is a devoted academic student with high hopes of ission to Harvard.

She becomes outraged when her team is cut and the coach won't let her try out for the boys' team.
When her twin brother asks to cover for him as he leaves for London, she takes it as an opportunity. She disguises herself as her brother to attend Cornwall, her school's rival, and s the male soccer team. Having to act like a boy isn't easy, especially when you start having a crush on the team captain, Duke (Tatum).
Angus, Thongs And Perfect Snogging (2008): 6.3
This British-American teen drama film became somewhat of a classic amongst teens. Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging took the typical teen romance and popular guy storyline across the pond to England. Georgia Nicholson (Georgia Groome) is 14-years-old and has the best friend gang possible. When two new boys start school, she devises a plan to get to know Robbie (Aaron Taylor-Johnson).
Things don't go as planned, as the evil popular girl gets to him first. While trying to get the cute new boy, friendships waiver and hearts get broken. Will things work out by her 15th birthday party?
