Acclaimed filmmaker Taika Waititi has returned to work, offering fans some new photos of an on set nap. Waititi is just one of many Hollywood filmmakers who have had to put their career on hold thanks to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
After his Oscar-winning success last year with Mission: Impossible 7 are once again moving in the right direction, and that can only mean that other filmmakers will soon be following suit.
There’s no shortage of people hoping that Waititi is one of the many filmmakers looking to get working again. Now, thanks to the Waititi's own Instagram , we have proof that Waititi is once again back at work. Not only is he back on set, but he’s also looking quite safe and comfortable in the below photos. And although he’s not actually working in the photos, his on-set power nap is more than proof enough that the wheels are in motion on creating new material. As for just what set it is that he’s taking some much-needed rest on, that remains unconfirmed. The best and most likely guess would probably be Star Wars film, have yet to officially begin, though there is surely no small amount of people who are desperate for production on both those titles to begin as soon as possible.
With the constant uncertainty that the COVID pandemic has brought to the world, it’s great to see that Waititi is back at work. At the same time, it’s also great to see that he’s taking the proper precautions necessary to ensure that both he, his cast, and crew are all as safe as possible. And of course, it’s very important to keep both moral and creativity levels high – which is clearly the reason for his vital on-set power nap.
