  • Zootopia is one of the best Disney Pixar movies so far. Its story is original and sets it apart from other animated films, with an immensely important message about the harmful nature of prejudice and stereotypes. The characters are lovable and human (despite being animals) and the animation is gorgeous. I saw it in theaters multiple times when it was first released, and I've watched it at home countless times as well.

  • A fun kids' comedy that's more than a little confused about how its core premise actually applies to real life. The world is more impressive than the characters, making the film ideal for firing up the imaginations of young storytellers.

  • Anthropomorphic characters are always so expressive and funny, so Zootopia is like an animated comedy gold mine. All of the characters are so well written and expertly designed. I genuinely never wanted this movie to end and I am so excited that a new one is on the way. Being determined to pursue your dreams despite family and societal expectations of you is a message that needs to be shouted from the mountaintops over and over again.

  • I think Zootopia is a great animation film for the non-Pixar landscape. Great character, and genuinely funny. Out of pocket Breaking Bad and Gravity references are cool to throw in there as well!

  • A kids movie that tries to make a point about racism that doesn't quite stick the landing. It's still cute with lovely character designs and memorable moments from a huge cast of characters, but was so busy trying to have a Message that it forgot to have a good story.

Zootopia is filled with lovable characters and a heartfelt message for kids, along with a layered subtext for adults, that is both timely and moving.
