Disney took the Robert Louis Stevenson classic Treasure Island and took it to outer space. The result is one of the most-often forgotten Disney animated movies, which is sad because the movie is fantastic. It's able to keep everything that made Stevenson's classic work - a boy's desire for adventure, a father figure who turns out to be darker than expected, and a dazzling treasure hunt. It's also gorgeously animated and deserves to be mentioned in the same conversations as Disney's princess movies.
