WHERE TO WATCH

Reviews(2)

  • This movie is absolutely terrifying to me because it could happen to anyone. Most villains in horror movies have some type of motivation or reason for choosing their victims but that is not so in The Strangers. The "because you were home" line still sticks with me and the killers obscuring their identities with masks makes them even more terrifying as villains because you cannot see who they are. Home invasion movies can be difficult to pull off without falling into overused tropes, but The Strangers is a perfect example of the genre.

  • The Strangers is terrifying and I am glad it didn't overdue it on jumpscares, opting to focus on building the tension through atmosphere and dread. What a bleak ending. The scariest things are just things that seem to happen for no reason.
