I always feel weirdly nostalgic when I think about this one, probably because it came out when I was a high school senior. It does a great job of tapping into that feeling of curiosity and exploration during your last days as a high schooler, while also leaving room for romance in the mix.

A YA romance that does the one thing the genre needs to do - recreate the feeling of self-discovery and emerging into the world. An excess of schmaltz and performative sincerity are kind of par for the course.

I really loving this movie several years ago. Feels honest and real in ways some YA romances just aren't. Really well acted with heartbreaking moments throughout. A tender look at love blossoming between two people who don't know much about themselves.
