  • An unbeatable classic. Carrey excells as both sides of Stanley Ipkiss, the dorky and quiet mild-mannered banker who still has a little bit of charm to him, to the much more free Loki-infused Mask persona, which allows him to run wild. The blend of noir crime drama and over-the-tp cartoony slapstick and violence also feels like a perfectly balanced mix, nailing the pulpy comic book source material. Alongside a solid ing cast, this movie feels somewhat timeless.

  • Jim Carrey takes his rubbery face to this comic book adaptation, where he is perfectly cast as a nobody who hits it big when he puts on an ancient mask and basically becomes a real-life cartoon character.
