A strange movie through and through but really interesting. The dialogue is surreal, but the actors are all so good that they ground the material. Nicole Kidman, Colin Farrell, and Barry Keoghan are insanely good in this movie.

Full of Lanthimos’s formalism in the best way. A favorite target of people that pride themselves on not understanding modern film. Only a bit more tense than it was funny. Euripides would be proud.

Rating ths is requisitie, but even years later, I still don't know what my exact stance is on Killing of a Sacred Deer. Even for Yorgos, this one was thoroughly bizarre, and hard to unpack why exactly it goes in certain directions. I will say, has some extremely memorable moments -- BOB'S DYING!!!

A harsh fable that keeps its head on a swivel, always building towards its ending. Barry Keoghan is fantastic, but the film as a whole would have benefited from a little less artifice and slightly more actual cruelty.
