A gorgeous, haunting look at love and a worthy follow up to The Haunting of Hill House. Love seeing familiar actors in new roles and Mike Flanagan does that better than most. Very scary at parts and emotionally satisfying by the end. Isn't quite as good as Hill House, but still well done.

This is a TV horror masterpiece. I haven't watched too many horror TV shows, primarily because I find them to generally get pretty boring as they either go for the same cheap scares in most episodes or they just lose the effect of the scare the more you watch. However, the haunting of Hill House and Bly Manor are both on a different level. While Hill House was terrifying, Bly Manor takes it up a notch. I didn't think it was possible to watch an entire season of something and still be just as scared as you are in the beginning but Bly Manor had me considering leaving the lights on at night once I finished it. Furthermore, while the ending was, in a way, meant to be a bit poetic and peaceful, I found it so incredibly unsettling which only added to the spook factor even more. I hope to see more things like this in the future!
