Oz the Great and Powerful is a live-action fantasy origin story of the Wizard of Oz by director Sam Raimi. The film follows the life of Oscar Diggs, an ambitious circus magician swept away to the Land of Oz. After arriving in this new strange world, Oscar finds himself at the center of a power struggle between three witches - Glinda, Theodora, and Evanora - a struggle that could spell doom for the inhabitants of Oz. Not knowing who to trust, Oscar must find his own path in the mysterious land on his journey to becoming the iconic wizard himself.
