WHERE TO WATCH

  • An absolute masterpiece in dread and atmosphere. The Blair Witch Project is one of my favorite horror movies of all time with an ending that still makes the hair on my arms stand up whenever I think about it. I teared up multiple times throughout my first watch from the pure dread I was witnessing.

  • I MTV literally running news segments on TRL about lost teenagers in the woods, and how their found footage would be turned into a film, documenting their trek. I can't believe Carson Daly would lie to me like that.

This inexpensive independent film became a blockbuster, kicking off the found footage horror movie trend that continues with Rec and Paranormal Activity. It's pretty creepy if you're suggestible and hate VHS tape skips like me.
