incredible to show. Amazing animation great characters. The lightsaber duels are some of the best in Star Wars

Arguably stands among the best of Star Wars, taking the character moments that the prequels let fall by the wayside and turning them into a compelling saga all its own. The tone is a little uneven, but it pays off for those who stick around.

I think people often forget that The Clone Wars had a lot going against in its earliest days. A 3DCG animated series not only bringing one of the largest franchise to TV after a divisive prequel trilogy, but having to battle with its own franchise's lore and being pushed into the limelight with a big movie launch. So much was working against the series, and it had to prove itself to many through some rough early seasons.

Yet, not only has it became a beloved tale in its own right, but dictated the direction of the franchise going forward. It strikes a ground between older and younger viewers, creating tales that enrich the franchise and its characters, and leave strong foundations for what would come after in a visually stunning format,

First mentioned in A New Hope in 1977, this series fleshes out the time between Episode 2 and 3 of the movie side of mainstream Star Wars. Launched into the limelight via a theatrical release, it pushed the boundaries of what many believed Star Wars to be. Some thought animation wasn't real Star Wars, some embraced it whole heartedly. The initial two seasons can be a little awkward, but as the viewer moves on, they find themselves more comfortable with the characters and more engaged with their stories. This series fought a large uphill battle and even with the gap in time between Season 6 and 7, it wraps up beautifully this era of the overall Star Wars narrative. Still one of my all-time favorites.

The first few seasons of this show can be at times hard to get through, but it's entirely worth it. Getting to know and love so many of the clones and Jedi has given new life to Star Wars in the last couple of years. With characters like Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex now being mainstays in different Star Wars titles. The show has aged like fine wine, but it started off with so many haters for no reason. This show is one of George Lucas' final projects with Lucasfilm and it should be treasured. That plus it gave Star Wars fans Dave Filoni

At its peak, The Clone Wars is some of the best Star Wars content ever made. Unfortunately a lot of it, especially the earlier seasons, isn't very good at all. The final season was a mixed bag for me. The Bad Batch stuff is fun and the ending is spectacular but the middle arc is so boring.
