If you can't laugh at yourself, you're taking things way too seriously. People are funny, Star Trek has people in it, Star Trek has to be funny. It's simply logical.

This is the funniest that Star Trek has ever been in my opinion. Don't necessarily care for the art style since I think it is played about in American cartoon sitcoms, but the characters are a lot of fun. Their crossover with Strange New Worlds was great. Jack Quaid is amazing.

I love the concept of a future with Starfleet and space exploration. I have watched every episode released many many times.

I have grown to love the characters throughout all of the franchisees. Boimler is now my favourite 😍. I see so much of myself in him it is laughable 😂🤣

Star Trek Lower Decks is absolutely my favourite of all the 'new Trek' series. While generally I don't play favourites with Trek from the moment I heard about the premise of this animated series I had high hopes. Being a Rick & Morty fan and of course a hardcore Star Trek fan I just hoped I didn't set my expectations unrealistically high. Thankfully it didn't take long to realise this was not the case as Lower Decks came to be everything I hoped for and incredibly, so much more. It feels like a true homage for life long Trek fans while also offering a great introduction to the Trek universe. With fantastic stand alone stories it's the consistent 'easter eggs', nods to previous Trek, and frequent cameos from previous characters from all previous trek series that make it such a valuable series. I'm saving up to binge the final season and will most likely watch it from the very beginning all the way through.... Again. Animation is the perfect way to have past characters thrive again since naturally there are no issues with age discrepancies. The only thing I don't like about this show? It's cancellation. Devastated to learn of it my mind truly cannot grasp why they would end this series. Being animated surely it's a more affordable medium without the need for elaborate sets and special effects but most of all, this is the Trek we want! Hopefully it can be resurrected again thanks to animation being forgiving of the age of time (IRL) if only Paramount realises the absolute gem they have in this show.
