  • A deserved icon of cinema, Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins create one of the most haunting relationships in fiction, with Hopkins coiled like a snake in human form.

  • A really well-made thrilling movie that's not just about catching a serial killer, but also being a woman in a field dominated by sexist men who underestimate you. It's unfortunately marred by the transphobia of the plot. Luckily, we have the Hannibal TV series to gay up the place.

  • The Silence of the Lambs is a terrifying story about a cannibal that remains a cult horror classic even decades after its first release. In an era of horror movies characterized by dramatic jumpscares and larger-than-life monstrous creatures, The Silence of the Lambs is perhaps even more horrifying, using fantastic cinematography and psychological horror to weave an immensely uncomfortable and petrifying narrative that will capture your attention until the very end.
