  • My second favorite film in the franchise behind the first one. Scream 4 is a compelling look at a younger generation that wants to break free from the shadow of what came before and make a name for themselves no matter the cost. Emma Roberts is gleefully evil in this and Neve Campbell has never been better.

  • The idea of a copycat killer running around Sidney Prescott's hometown and picking off a new generation of teenagers because they want to be as famous as the Ghostface killers that came before them is a good one. Add to that the expansion of Sidney's family and just how the history of Sidney being targeted has affected them, and you've got a recipe for another fantastic meta entry into the slasher genre. It's especially fun to see how a generation of horror fans would approach a killer interested in their favorite scary movies. Kirby rattling off an extensive list of films before the killer can even finish questioning her on the phone is one of the best parts of the entire movie.

'Scream 4' Review

Is 'Scream 4' a worthy return for Ghostface and director Wes Craven? Or will the fourth installment in the meta-horror franchise make you want to scream for your money back?
