  • While an improvement in accuracy when compared to Paul W S Anderson's adaptation, Welcome to Raccoon City attempts to do too much without the budget to it, condensing two movies' worth of story into a single movie full of mischaracterizations, and lackluster action.

Synopsis

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is an action/horror movie that returns to the origins of the massively popular Resident Evil franchise. Fan and filmmaker Johannes Roberts brings the games to life for a new generation of fans. The once booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City is a fun and faithful adaptation of the games it is based on, but is lacking in character substance.
