Should Marvel ever consider reviving Uncle Ben?

It's kind of an accepted rule in comics that no one ever really stays dead, with one exception being that of Uncle Ben Parker in Marvel. There have been a few alternate universe versions of him, but never a full-on revival of the character, and I really hope they never go through with one. While similar to Thomas and Martha Wayne in how their deaths inspired their descendants' vigilante careers, Spider-Man's moral com largely came from Ben, and while I don't think his revival would completely upend things for Peter, it would risk harming Ben's character.

Reactions claim Thunderbolts* is the best Marvel movie in years. When was the last time you truly loved an MCU film?

Thunderbolts* reactions are officially out after fan screenings were held around the country and the European premiere occurred yesterday. They are overwhelmingly positive, with many stating this is the best MCU movie in years. While Deadpool & Wolverine came out last year, it truly is a different kind of movie. It is raunchy, over-the-top, and more of a fan service parody than something that contributes to the MCU as a whole. If we don't count it, the last time I truly loved - and I mean LOVED - an MCU movie would be Eternals. I know that Eternals is a divisive one that many viewers did not enjoy, but I love these characters from the comics and was pleased with how they translated to the big screen. I hope to see them show up again one day, but sadly, I do not think that is the cards for them.

Is Spider-Man's confirmed maximum strength fitting for Peter Parker?

In Marvel Comics' new The Amazing Spider-Man #1, it was confirmed by Spider-Man that lifting a truck is the "top end of [his] spider-strength." The truck in question could weigh from 8,000 to 10,000 pounds, which means that number is where Spider-Man's maximum strength lies. While impressive, I think that number is somehow too low for what Spider-Man should be able to lift.

Has Smart Hulk worn out his welcome in the MCU?

Smart Hulk has been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for some time now and while I personally love what he brings to the table, I know that a lot of fans are over him, believing he has worn out his welcome. They want to see an angry, hard-to-control Hulk. A Hulk that is going to kick butt first and ask questions later. I adore Mark Ruffalo and think that he has done a great job of playing both Bruce Banner and Smart Hulk. That said, while I am entertained by Smart Hulk, I can see the benefit of bringing regular Hulk and Bruce Banner back. Should the MCU find a way to do it that makes sense story wise, I am all in.

Who could Aldis Hodge play in the MCU?

Ever since being introduced to Aldis Hodge's Hawkman in Black Adam, I have been eagerly awaiting his return, hoping that it would happen. Well, it seems as if that ship has sailed. However, Hodge himself has alluded to potentially ing another franchise. Should he mean the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there are several characters I would love to see him play. Rumors are swirling that he will replace Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, which I would not be mad at, although I do hope they make him a T'Challa from a different universe.

I will never get over THAT death in the Daredevil: Born Again premiere.

Now this is what I call a Marvel show! Daredevil is back in Daredevil: Born Again, which continues the story seamlessly, feeling like a continuation of the Netflix series rather than a reboot or revival. The first episode started off with a death that shocked viewers, and would cause a ripple through the rest of Matt Murdock's life. While I understand perfectly why it was important to kill Foggy (or Karen) and send Matt down a path of struggling with his faith and of wanting to hang up his mask, I will never, ever, get over it. I have loved Foggy from the moment we met him. As Matt himself says, he is one of the good guys. He is always working to do what is right and has everyone's best interest in mind. He is also a sweetheart. Foggy, RIP, you will be missed. Of course, there is a rhyme and reason for him being killed by Bullseye, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Matt listening to his heartbeat slow as he died has to be one of the most devastating television sequences I have e

Will there be a new Punisher One-Shot comic?

Marvel recently created a post on YouTube mentioning creating a One-Shot Disney+ special with Frank Castle's Punisher. It was an off-handed comment, but I think taking down the post all but confirmed this will happen, but also makes me wonder if there will be a new comic. Does anyone agree with me? If so, what do you want to see?

Which MCU post-credit scene is the least disappointing?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe post-credit scenes vary in importance. Sometimes you just get an ant playing drums, other times the entire future of the MCU is set up before you. While there have certainly been some disappointing ones, there are a few greats. One of which is sure to go down in history as the least disappointing, as I highly doubt something better will come along. After Avengers: Age of Ultron, Marvel fans were given their first look at Thanos, who boasts "Fine, I'll do it myself." Chills ran down my arms, I leapt from my seat, and I screamed. And I wasn't the only one in my theater to do so. This kicked off what would ultimately lead to Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, easily the best films of the entire franchise (so far).

Are you disappointed that the MCU's Strange Academy has been put on hold?

Everyone is talking about how the MCU's Nova series was put on hold, but no one is talking about Strange Academy, which, honestly, I am more bummed about. Strange Academy is a great comic book series with interesting and exciting characters. Think of it as a magical version of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters with Doctor Strange as the heaster. Other teachers include Doctor Voodoo, Scarlet Witch, Magik, and Hellstrom. I would have loved to see this happen. Hopefully some day it will.

What did you think about One World Under Doom #1?

Marvel Comics' new crossover event One World Under Doom has released its first issue, unveiling Victor von Doom's new rule as emperor of the entire world six months after he became the new Sorcerer Supreme, and all the leaders of the worlds are bowing to his authority. Having promised to meet the basic needs of every citizen of the world with free universal health care, access to higher education, and the erasure of all war and bigotry, I'm excited to see what the catch will be and how Marvel's heroes will justify going after Doom this time, especially when everything he's doing seems to be with the world's improvement in mind.

If the MCU could somehow feature appearances from past characters, who would you want to see back?

Throughout the last two phases of MCU in film and on TV, there have been many characters who have ed, left the universe, or simply faded into the background. If there were no boundaries, though, I’d want to see the Black Widow Natasha Romanoff back in the MCU. While there are others I love and adore, I think Natasha’s story ended in such a difficult, heartbreaking way and her felt deeply unfinished.

Who do you think would win in a fight, Spider-Man or Bane?

Seemingly out of nowhere, I saw a debate raging online about the possibility of Spider-Man cleaning up Gotham, only to be stopped when it comes to fighting Bane, as many fans think the iconic Batman villain would take out the webslinger. I'm, however, on the other side of the argument about their potential fight, as I think Spider-Man's agility combined with the fact he pulls his punches means that, if he unleashed himself completely, he could certainly take out Bane.

What is the best team-up ability in Marvel Rivals?

One of my favorite aspects of Marvel Rivals comes from the multiple team-up abilities the game offers. It adds to the whole aspect of playing as Marvel characters and teaming up with friends for cool boosts. My favorite Rivals team-up ability is currently Gamma Charge. As soon as I see a Hulk on my team, I rush to pick Iron Man and benefit from the gamma bonus to my damage. Iron Man can then break enemy lines with relative ease.

What is the best Strategist character in Marvel Rivals?

When it comes to playing Strategist in Marvel Rivals, I have to say that I am quite good at it. After meeting a few healers in my time playing the game, I accepted the mission to do that for others. Jeff the Land Shark is a true menace, as every Rivals player knows. However, he is the second Strategist I use the most, as my number one pick comes in the form of Cloak & Dagger, who can also deal a lot of damage. Mantis has also been a prominent pick for me.

Would you like to see King Ghidorah fight the Fantastic Four in live-action?

The Fantastic Four are gearing up for one of their biggest fights yet with the  Godzilla vs. Fantastic Four, which will see King Ghidorah fighting the first superhero family after he becomes the new herald for Galactus. While comics make sharing rights between franchises a little easier to pull off than movies and TV shows, this is the exact kind of off-the-wall storytelling I'd love to see in live-action, because even though it could risk feeling like an overabundance of CGI, which many superhero movies are falling prey to in recent years, it could also be the appropriately bonkers and entertaining ride I've felt has been missing from some of the genre's output of late.

What Marvel hero would you most like to see get a solo video game?

Between the recent launch of Marvel Rivals and the ongoing success of Sony's Spider-Man titles, comic book and superhero fans have been given a wide range of exciting options to choose from in the world of video games, though there's still a large swathe of Marvel heroes who have not gotten the solo video game treatment. Personally, I think Doctor Strange could be a fascinating one to get a solo game, as the magical side of the universe could lead to gameplay that mixes an intricate fighting system involving spells with puzzle solving to explore mystical locations.

What do you think about Francis Ford Coppola's comments about Marvel?

I generally find the conversation of what is or isn't cinema pretty arbitrary, but I disagree for the most part with Francis Ford Coppola's statement that Marvel films aren't faithful to the art form because they're made for the purpose of making money. While that may not be untrue, I think it's ignorant of the degree of ion that goes into making those movies. They may lack the singular vision of the types of movies Coppola directs, but generally speaking, I think many people involved in making comic book films love comic books. Making money and making art aren't mutually exclusive; the issue is in the imbalance.

How do you feel about Jim Hammond's Human Torch's new comic book look?

Jim Hammond's Human Torch, Marvel's first ever hero, is officially ing The Ultimates and, with that, comes a whole new look, and it's one that's much needed. Hammond has always been an android whose skin combusts when it comes into with oxygen, but this new look is fully embracing the mechanical aspect of that. He looks very cool, and it is about time. Since he is Marvel's first hero, it has been 85 years since he got an upgrade. This one has been well worth the wait as this upgrade is sleek and exciting.

What part of Marvel's "look ahead" trailer has you most excited?

Marvel has released a "look ahead" trailer which gives fans a very quick glimpse at several television series and movies. Deadpool & Wolverine is included, as it will be added to their Disney+ streaming service on November 12, but I would not personally count that. Same with What If...? as it is the third season of the animated series. Leaving Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Daredevil: Born Again, Ironheart, Eyes of Wakanda, Marvel Zombies, and Wonder Man, as the truly new projects. While I am certainly excited for them all, Daredevil: Born Again is going to have to be at the top of this list this time around. I love the original Netflix series and am thrilled that the cast is returning to these roles. The fact that Marvel went back to revamp the story and do reshoots proves to me that they wanted to get it right. Fingers crossed they did.

What do you think the final twist of Agatha All Along will be?

Agatha All Along has rolled out twist after turn during its first season, and while I’m not ready for the series to come to an end just yet, I can’t wait to see what’s coming for the exciting series. After the most recent episode finally revealed Billy Maximoff’s journey to the road, there’s bound to be another major twist on the horizon. I’m excited to see how Agatha and the teen make it to the end, and what waits for them when they do.
