  • A mad, wondrous creation of percussive majesty, taking all the lessons and promises fulfilled by Fury Road and magnifying them to stunning ends. Impossible to dismiss its own reckoning as a sequel built under the shadow of one of the finest films in decades, Furiosa distinguishes itself as a true contemporary revenge epic, a Countess of Monte Cristo, not simply a chase film (albeit one of the best chase films ever). In certain ways, it is the best entry in this series, but a healthy reason for this result is in how deftly it builds upon its ancestral heritage.

On a first watch, it's a fitting follow-up, but on a second watch it's transcendent. This is a film that couldn't find its true audience in the theaters tragically, but it's built for streaming, rewatching, pairing with its predecessor. If this is the last one we get, we already got spoiled, but Dementus be damned: there's now hope that it finds a second life as an accessible streaming product, triples its audiences, and earns us another revoltingly joyous journey to the wasteland.

  • Fantastic show with the 3 main characters all full of personality and attitude and the others that had lesser roles all did excellent work in this movie. Then there are the action sequences that were mostly CGI but they were great!. Now it may be more of a mans movie, but even the small bite of love was enough to give it a personal touch for thoughts who say leave room for the dessert. It was a long movie but Hemsworth was more important at the end of the film than we could have guessed. I guess you could say, I enjoyed it immensely.

  • Though low on great chase sequences like Fury Road, Furiosa is still an epic visually stunning film thanks to its incredible editing, cinematography, Joy and Hemsworth's performances and Miller's outstanding direction.

  • Completely blown away by ‘Furiosa’, it’s 2.5 hours of pure adrenaline. A slight criticism is Anya Taylor Joy is not fully believable in the role, as she just doesn’t have the same grit as Charlize Theron.

It’s disappointing that the film under-performed in theatres, it’s a must-see on the big screen.

  • Furiosa is NOT Mad Max: Fury Road. An epic in the literal sense, Furiosa sees its main character fighting against a world toppled into venomous misogyny, and the film makes you suffer every torture and indignity along the road to some kind of agency and freedom. Just as gorgeous as Fury Road, it's a far more harrowing experience than the film that spawned it.

Synopsis

A prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road, Furiosa is an action-adventure film that tells the origin story of the headstrong and fearless Furiosa. Set shortly after the beginning of the "end of the world," Furiosa is kidnapped and brought before a powerful warlord, now forced to work for him. To find her way back home, Furiosa will adapt to the new harsh and arid world as she grows into the Furiosa she becomes known to be.
