They HAVE to give a closure to Olivia and Eliot. It was not distracting not soap opera. It's the least the writers have to do after more than a quarter or century of fans rooting for them.

The show doesn't get old. It still makes you want to watch to see what's gonna happen. And the almost love relationship between Olivia & Stabler. The chemistry between them has always been good and still is. Wow

Why did the show allow her to marry Carisi if she wasn’t going to be there for him and her 2 prior kids , plus, the baby she has with Carisi. I knew that wasn’t a good idea. His character is a dedicated ADA and father and husband who fell in love with an unstable woman. They were good as friends. That’s bad writing. Fix it!
