  • This movie is alright. Love King Kong but have realized that I don't care for Godzilla in many of his movies over the years. Hate the human subplot which makes me sad because I wish that the human subplot could actually be good. Don't understand when people want less humans in these movies.

  • Why can't they just get along? Godzilla and Kong hit each other while bathed in neon light. The decision to give Kong a weapon makes sense - he needs the help, and his big advantage is tool-use - but it punctures the whole premise from the very beginning, as Kong needs help to even kind of compete.

  • Decent movie with good action, but more forgettable than others of the Legendary Godzilla franchise. The "hollow earth" concept is an interesting but disconnected idea for the concept of Kaijus, though it does introduce concepts that can be capitalized on in the future. The plot was sub par and mostly used as a flimsy justification of the Kaijus motivation, which, while explained, is still somewhat contradictory to previous films. Overall, it was still enjoyable enough, but I'm not really interested in a rewatch.

6/10

While the human characters are there for exposition and could’ve used additional development, Godzilla vs. Kong is engaging and visually stunning.
