  • My approach to this film was unorthodox having never seen the original Rocky films, but Creed stands on its own. The emotional narrative is so strong, and you really feel the highs and lows that come with sports. Adonis is a compelling character and his relationship with Rocky is heartwarming.

  • I think Creed is a fantastic example of how to expand a franchise without feeling tired or overwrought. Creed has enough connection to the original while still feeling like its own thing, and following Adonis makes a lot of sense. Loved Creed overall!

  • What Ryan Coogler does to revitalize the Rocky franchise with Creed is nothing short of spectacular. Creed features some of the most emotionally compelling moments in the entire series as Adonis and Rocky are two men who need each other more than either initially realize. Arguably the best in the entire Rocky franchise.

The name on the title card may have changed, but the Rocky legacy is alive and thriving in Creed.
