As average a film as the original Cars was, Cars 2 destroys whatever goodwill it had for a bizarrely out-of-place spy thriller that ignores most of the principal cast and forces Mater into the spotlight, all of which makes him even more of an annoying character. It's often regarded as the worst Pixar film ever made, and even after over a decade, it's hard to argue with that point.

I genuinely enjoy this film even though most Pixar fans seems to hate it. Like the setting a lot. Think it looks gorgeous. I just had a lot of fun with this one. Don't get the Mater hate in this one. He could have been even more annoying but he is endearing in this for me. Not as good as the first of course but enjoyed it more than Cars 3 and a lot of other Pixar films.

Contrary to popular opinion, I actually really enjoyed Cars 2. It differed from the other Cars movies but I thought it was a welcome change. It wasn't near as good as the first Cars, but it was humorous and entertaining nonetheless.
