I love B5! Watching it again for third time on prime right now!

One of the best series made. Maybe only bettered if they could find a way to film the Iain M Banks books.

Babylon 5 is absolutely my favourite 'non Star Trek' sci-fi series. Despite it's obvious comparison to DS9 I love both shows & think they stand equally strong individually on many levels. Babylon 5 does a wonderful job with its ongoing storyline while also offering standalone episodes. It's character development is (chef's kiss) absolute perfection showing depth & multi faceted aspects to its regular characters, delving deep into the psyche of each to give the viewer a dichotomy behind what drives each individual & challenges you to judgement on their actions as a result. I'm so glad I chose to research 'that 90's show with the spider ships' I used to watch after coming home from the clubs back in the day, to ultimately find & binge it in it's entirety (multiple times) as a result. While DS9 is probably my favourite Star Trek series (although I don't really play favourites with Star Trek) I honestly feel Babylon 5 goes even further in the development of its characters but in a completely organic way, through perfectly complex storylines & natural ongoing progression. Nothing feels forced, it never leaves too much unsaid or unfinished, while still allowing some mystery & potential for viewers to come to their own conclusions. I'll it the special effects are pretty subpar but given the times & budget, I don't think they're that bad, you just need to use your imagination a little. The Shadow Ships, Minbari & Vorlon ships are awesome for the time, they did pretty well across the board when it came to designs for all the vessels as well as Babylon 5 itself (& Babylon 4). I'm keen to rewatch it again, it's been a few years & while I would definitely watch a reboot I would only hope they do it justice and not just rely on the fans love & the previous strength of its characters to prop it up. If they can't do a solid job at moving the story & characters forward I think they should leave it

Best Si-Fi Series Ever.

Amazing series, episodic but with far reaching plotlines. Watching it again and it holds up well.

Babylon 5 was a mixture of everything a sci fi series should be. Intelligence, intrigue, action, drama and philosophical points from all characters. The actors and writers are to be commended and praised for all their efforts and although it should have continued further it was an excellent addition to the history of sci fi series in the world!!!
