Alien 5 is a canceled sequel from director Neill Blomkamp. The film would have retconned Alien 3 and brought back Sigourney Weaver as Ripley and Michael Biehn as Corporal Hicks. Unapproved concept art suggested hybrid Xenomorphs were going to be a key part of the sequel. The movie was canceled partly due to the negative reception of 2017's Alien: Covenant, and that same year, Blomkamp revealed that all plans for the film were "totally dead."
