The release date for Nvidia GeForce Now leak, alongside other games that were later confirmed, including Kingdom Hearts 4 and the Chrono Cross remaster.

The idea of there being a Tactics Ogre remake or remaster didn't seem that far-fetched, as Square Enix has been updating older games for modern platforms, with the most recent being Live A Live on Nintendo Switch. Tactics Ogre was originally released on the Super Nintendo in Japan in '95, as Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. The game would later be ported to the Sega Saturn and original PlayStation, but most fans will be familiar with the 2010 remake of the game released for the PlayStation Portable. The GeForce Now leak was the first hint at a new remaster or remake of the game and was again indicated Tactics Ogre: Reborn page appeared on PSN, confirming the game's existence and new title.

Players can now get their first real look at Tactics Ogre: Reborn and it's once again the result of a leak. PSDeals has a page for Tactics Ogre: Reborn, listing a release date of November 11, 2022. The game is coming to PS4 and PS5, with a free upgrade option to the digital PS5 version for people who own the PS4 copy. The page also has screenshots showing the Tactics Ogre: Reborn in action, confirming it is an update of the PSP remake and not a brand new title. It bears mentioning this is a leak and all information should be taken with a grain of salt until an official announcement is made by Square Enix or Sony.

Tactics Ogre: Reborn will have some new features that weren't present in the PSP version of the game. In the PSP Tactics Ogre, there was a class-wide level management system that affected all units, while Tactics Ogre: Reborn will have class progression restricted to a unit-by-unit leveling up system. Additionally, battles will now play out more quickly, there will be an auto-save feature, and the control scheme and UI have been upgraded to make them easier to use. The character and background artwork has been recreated in high definition, there are English and Japanese voices for the cutscenes, and all of the music has been replaced with live performances.

It's curious that Square Enix still hasn't announced Tactics Ogre: Reborn, especially if it's launching in a few months. It's the kind of reveal that would fit perfectly into a Summer Games Fest event or a Sony State of Play, but there doesn't seem to be any indication of when the game may be announced in the future. If the leaks are legitimate, then fans won't have to wait long to experience Tactics Ogre: Reborn, and hopefully Square Enix will officially announce the title in the months.
