Survivor 48 ally Kyle Fraser knew that they couldn't be the public duo that Joe Hunter and Eva Erickson became throughout the game. Instead, Kamilla stayed outside the majority alliance while Kyle protected both of them from the inside.

While Kamilla and Kyle were a great duo throughout the game, Kyle found himself benefiting from Kamilla's moves more than vice versa. Though Kyle did help Kamilla's game in ways that propelled her to the end, it was often Kamilla's strategies, Kamilla's ideas, and Kamilla's plans that took her and Kyle's game to the next level. Throughout Survivor 48, Kamilla did her best to be cut-throat and strategic when she needed to, understanding that she was playing a game in the hopes of winning $1 million. Even so, Kamilla's relationship with Kyle was what ultimately led to her Survivor downfall.

Although Kamilla didn't make it to the end of the game, she had the right trajectory for the majority of Survivor 48. Working hard to establish herself as less of a threat, Kamilla spent the early days of the game building bonds that would help carry her through to the end. In her original tribe with Kyle, Kamilla created a connection that would help her and showed just how strategic of a player she could be. When she bumped up against problems in the game, Kamilla made pathways for herself that were creative and interesting, keeping her and Kyle safe.

After the merge, Kamilla stayed on the outskirts of the majority alliance and watched things happen as she received information from Kyle about who the group was targeting, having her ally keep her safe while she conferred with the other castaways on the outskirts. Keeping both sides calm, Kamilla's strategies and tactics were key in ensuring that the right people were eliminated at the right time. Keeping the blood off her hands, Kamilla helped orchestrate some major moves, like the elimination of David Kinne. She was able to play strategically and stay out of the spotlight throughout the Survivor season.

Kamilla’s Social Game Left Something To Be Desired

She Didn't Always Have A Pulse On Everyone

Although Kamilla was skilled in creating strategic plans and executing them, there was one part of her game that was lacking at times. Kamilla often talked about her negative sense of self, which made her somewhat difficult to approach socially. At times, Kamilla seemed closed off or difficult for other castaways to bond with, which left her on the outskirts of some bigger alliances. Though Kamilla wanted to be more of a lone wolf in the game, her social connections outside of Kyle weren't the strongest, and didn't give her the boost she needed to make it to the end.

Kamilla Lost The Game Because She Didn’t Lie To Kyle

She Shouldn't Have Told Him She Wouldn't Take Him To The End

As the season ended, the reason that Kamilla didn't make it to the final 3 was the fact that after losing the immunity challenge, she chose to tell Kyle she wouldn't have brought him to the end. Rather than pressing on the loyalty she'd built with her ally throughout the season and trying to get him to lock her into a seat at final tribal council, Kamilla bet on a 50/50 shot of being able to make it through the final fire-making challenge. Kamilla's decision not to lie to Kyle or push their Survivor bond cost her the game.
