Some of the Supernatural audiences are excited for the prequel, The Winchesters, currently in production under the helm of Jensen Ackles. It will be interesting to see whether the show will portray angels or not. If yes, then many fans will expect to see their favorite resident fallen angel, Castiel. It is no secret that angels can travel through time because viewers have seen Cas taking Dean to a different timeline so, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to expect him to make a cameo.

His Introduction

When He Waited For Dean
Another testament to his loyalty to the Winchesters, particularly to Dean, Castiel once chose to wait all night for Dean standing at the edge of a road. This was early in his character journey in the season 5 episode, "The End". Dean tells Cas that he needs to get his 4 hours of sleep before he can accompany Cas on whatever mission he needs them to go to, and then Cas decides to just stand and wait for Dean.

The Crypt Scene
One of the most intense scenes of Dean and Castiel has to be the Crypt scene in season 8. The season sees Castiel under the mind control of Naomi and in the episode, "Goodbye Stranger," Naomi pushes him to kill Dean. Castiel beats Dean bloody, but when it comes the time to kill him, Dean gets through to him using words like "I need you" and the mind control breaks.

The Cat Interrogation
One of the funniest Castiel moments is in season 8 when Cas accompanies Dean on a case where people are dying like cartoon characters. An old woman tells them that a cat may know something regarding the case and Cas adorably announces, "I'll interrogate the cat." He takes it even further when he starts interrogating the cat.

When He Steals Another Angel's Grace
A Reddit mentions the scene where Human Cas is captured by the angel Theo and is about to be killed by him. However, Castiel can kill Theo and steal his grace.
It was a true badass moment for Cas, especially considering that he had no powers. He was just a human but he still managed to defeat an angel and steal his grace, while being injured. This proves that Cas could have become a strong hunter Dean and Sam, even as a human if he had got the chance.
When Cas Learned To Live Like A Human
Cas became human in season 9, which is one of Castiel's best versions. He learned a lot during this experience, particularly about building a normal life out of scratch. It was incredibly hard but he still managed to do it, which is a commendable feat.

While he is about to die, he opens his heart and expresses his love for the Winchesters, which is a rare moment for Cas since he seldom shows his emotions.

When He Got His Memories Back

Dean brings Cas with him to save Sam and he gets his memories back when he smites all the demons to get to Sam.
