In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Superman director James Gunn addresses Will Reeve's Superman cameo, as well as the brief appearance of Jerry Siegel's grandchildren in the 2025 DCU movie. "We not only had Will Reeve on set, but we also had Jerry Siegel's grandchildren in the Daily Planet, so it was really cool to be attached to the actual legacy of this wonderful character and have that be a part of who we are. We had all the living comic book artists and writers of Superman over the past forty years come to set, and they sat on set with us Those guys were, like, crying."
