A new cover for Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent #3 reveals Injustice, as the Son of Superman must choose between the Last Son of Krypton and the heroic Batman.

The world of Injustice is a truly horrifying one - with the popular comic series taking place before, during, and after the acclaimed Injustice video game series. The Elseworlds tale centers around Superman being pushed to villainy after being tricked into killing his wife Lois Lane and their unborn child. Injustice has not been seen in comics since 2018, so it was incredibly exciting when AIPT released an exclusive first look at the cover to Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent #3, which sees the Son of Superman venturing into the world of Injustice and getting in the middle of a major battle between Clark and Batman.

Jon Kent Is In For A Truly Horrifying Shock

Adventures of Superman Jon Kent #3 Injustice Full Cover

A recent interview with Superman and Ultraman come face to face, as well as Superman and his "son" Jon Kent. Tom Taylor has revealed that Jon Kent will enter the universe of Injustice sometime during the main comic/game's timeline, which means he will meet a version of his father who has turned evil, terrorized the planet and universe, and slaughtered multiple beloved heroes. Meanwhile, Batman has become "Public Enemy #1" and Damian Wayne has betrayed his father to Superman's Regime.

Taylor has not revealed much about the fateful first meeting between Jon and Clark Kent, except saying, "I don't want to give away his reaction. I have written their meeting, and it's a big one," and, "...throwing him into that world where his father has become a dictator gives us so much to play with." The reason for Superman's turn to villainy was Joker's mind controlling Clark into murdering Lois and the would-be-Jon. So there is a high chance that Superman could actually be changed for the better by engaging with his heroic and hopeful "son that would have been." Clayton Henry's gorgeous cover for Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent #3 shows Jon forcefully interrupting a fierce battle between Clark and Bruce, and the solicit for the issue reveals that "Jon has to pick a side, and the consequences make either choice a dangerous one!" Superman from Injustice has done horrific things, like murdering Green Arrow and Billy Batson, so the question of if he can be "redeemed" is a heavy one. At the very least, potentially meeting who his son would have been could shock Clark out of his reign of terror, and inspire him to try to change his violent, totalitarian ways.

Jon Will Be Forced To Make An Impossible Choice

Superman Kills Lois Injustice

Jon Kent has been through a lot in the past few months, with his father leaving for Warworld and then seemingly dying in the Dark Crisis. There is no doubt that discovering how evil Injustice's version of Superman is will be an intense and dramatic moment for the young hero.
