Recently, originating his iteration of the character on Supergirl. Currently, only one episode is left before the curtains close on Superman & Lois.
However, Hoechlin is already looking to the future. In a hosted by Screen Rant's Joe Deckelmeier at the San Francisco Fan Expo, the actor discussed the potential of returning for a Superman & Lois spin-off. Hoechlin stated that he "would totally do animation," quipping "I don't have to put the suit on for that, right?" He then added: "sweatpants and a t-shirt sounds good to me." Though he is partially joking, an animated series could hold solid potential to continue this version of the Superman story.
Despite expressing positivity about the idea, Hoechlin is satisfied with what the series achieved. The actor explained: "I think the fact that we got to come back to the fourth season to wrap up the story and really put a bow on it was a really nice opportunity that we got." As a result, he questions whether there could be spin-offs from there. Hoechlin believes "the great thing about the [superhero] genre and the multiverse" is that "there's always opportunities." For now, he's "very content with what the writers put together for us in the fourth season."

Bitsie Tulloch And Tyler Hoechlin Are Willing To Reprise Their Roles
Both Hoechlin and Tulloch were positive regarding a spin-off of Superman & Lois. Tulloch, in particular, responded to the idea by saying she'd call DC President and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee herself to "say there's been demand for it." Aside from specifically reprising their roles as Lois and Clark, the duo indicated an interest in returning to a hypothetical DC project if it came their way. According to Hoechlin, he and Tulloch "come as a package deal."

The setup for the final episode of Superman & Lois has raised the possibility that Clark Kent could die again in the last part of the story.
As for which DC characters they'd want to play, they agreed that starring as Batman and Catwoman would be good. Casting them as another iconic DC couple would be fun, even if the actors seemed to be joking. Their comments still show that they're game for more work in the DC Universe.

Given Hoechlin's comments on season 4 of Superman & Lois acting as a conclusion, it seems like there are no sequel plans on the horizon. That being said, he and Tulloch are enthusiastic about their roles. Even if there is no direct spin-off, they can always return to their roles as a cameo or in another animated project. When asked if he'd reprise his role, Hoechlin said "the answer is always yes." Superman & Lois fans needn't fret—their Superman might just come back for another round one day.
