WARNING: This article includes SPOILERS from Superman & Lois season 4, episodes 1 and 2.Michael Cudlitz's Lex Luthor may be starring as the final antagonist for the series, there could be other threats from the Man of Steel's massive rogues' gallery besides Luthor and Doomsday. The two-hour premiere ended up using some very familiar Superman names and that appear to be alluding to the introduction of another big bad.

In a new interview with TVLine, Helbing addressed that the name-drop of "Milton" and the reference to him being a "brainiac" was indeed referring to the famous Superman villain and his alias of Milton Fine in the comics. Without going too much into depth, Helbing added that "there will be more to come” for Brainiac in future Superman & Lois season 4 episodes.

What Todd Helbing's Brainiac Comments Mean For Superman & Lois Season 4

While Helbing is keeping it heavily under wraps, the way he is teasing Brainiac leading up to the Superman & Lois season 4 ending has the potential to go in many different directions. It's crucial to that Superman & Lois season 4 has a shorter episode amount for its final season, meaning there is only so much time they have left to work with to establish Brainiac in this world. But given Lex's interest in whatever it is that Milton has created, there is a good chance that Brainiac could come more into play sooner rather than later.

If Brainiac ends up being a crucial part of the latter half of Superman & Lois season 4, it will be fascinating to see who may actually play him in The CW's final DC TV show after years of not being able to feature him in the other Arrowverse shows. However, it is only fitting that it is Superman & Lois that gets to use Brainiac, especially as they get ready to wrap up the series. Given how Superman & Lois has also found new and refreshing takes on famous Superman villains, there is the potential of seeing a very different take on Brainiac.

Our Take On Todd Helbing's Brainiac Comments For Superman & Lois Season 4

After seeing how great Brainiac can be in live-action through both Smallville and Krypton, it would genuinely be fascinating to see how Superman & Lois approaches one of Kal-El's most dangerous enemies. Seeing Lex either team up with Brainiac or use him as part of the final war between him and Superman would be a massive way to end the series while also having Superman & Lois add something new to their conflict in live-action. In order to find out how Brainiac plays into Superman & Lois season 4, the fans will have to keep tuning every week to get closer to gaining those answers.
