What The Superman Trailer Release Report Means For The DCU Movie
The New Superman Will Finally Appear
It sure is interesting that the report states that Krypto will be the main star of the first Superman trailer. However, James Gunn has shown multiple times that he can make animals the core emotional aspects of his movies. Krypto might not talk like Rocket Raccoon, but the dog's powers could be what makes him stand out in the new Superman movie trailer. Set videos from the Superman movie showed Mr. Terrific tracking Krypto down and then training him to fly, both scenes that could appear in the trailer.
DC Just Broke A Major Superman Rule For The First Time In 85 Years
The Superman & Lois series finale delivered an emotional ending for Tyler Hoechlin's Man of Steel, which included a major Superman rule being broken.
This is not the first report on the Superman trailer's December release. Previously, Collider claimed the trailer would be released mid-December, and the goal was for it to play in theaters before Disney's Mufasa: The Lion King, which will be released on December 20. The new DC report confirms that, and next week will finally see the first official footage from James Gunn's Superman movie after set videos emerged when the production started filming outdoors earlier this year. Based on the report, it seems like Krypto will be one of the film's standouts.

Next Week Can't Come Soon Enough
Superman will be the first movie in the DCU, and a lot is riding on its success after the old DCEU's problems. I have faith that the film will be as great as expected, and I can't wait to finally get a peek at what Gunn, Corenswet, and crew have worked on next week. With Superman releasing in July, I imagine we will get a teaser trailer, with a full trailer coming later in February during the Super Bowl. Either way, I'm excited to see David Corenswet's Superman, Krypto, and the whole gang in action.
