Black Adam has now been released in theaters and fans were greeted to an exciting mid-credits scene. But if fans had been paying attention to anything The Rock had been saying leading up to the release, they would have probably known exactly what was coming.

These days, superhero movies are kept under strict NDA contracts, but that doesn't stop actors from spoiling them. Black Adam is the most recent instance of this happening, but these past few years have seen a number of major spoilers being released just days before the movies were about to go to theatres.

Dwayne Johnson

During press for Black Adam, Dwayne Johnson kept talking about how the hierarchy of power in the DC universe was about to change. No one really knew what that meant, so it became a bit of a meme online. When rumors began circulating about a potential Superman appearance with Henry Cavill returning, Dwayne Johnson didn't hold much back.

Johnson told Entertainment Tonight "But the fans have been so ionate about... 'Where is the most unstoppable force in the universe? Where is he?' Well... we've all been fighting for this moment, so I will say this: Welcome home." In fairness, he never said the character by name but context clues allowed almost everybody to put two and two together. The big surprise at the end of the credits, was no longer a surprise.

Alfred Molina

Alfred Molina Doctor Octopus

The returning characters in Spider-Man: No Way Home were some worst kept secrets in Hollywood. While some actors were able to keep their appearance a secret up until the release of the trailer, others were not. Most notably Alfred Molina was very eager to share his return as Doc Ock to the world. He even told Variety "But, you know, it’s all over the internet. I actually described myself as the worst-kept secret in Hollywood!". This was almost five months before the trailer came out.

In Molina's defense, his return was all over the internet. Sony just wanted to deny for as long as they could, but Molina was all too happy to talk about his return as Doc Ock. He would talk about how the advances in technology created new challenges and how they made him look younger. It makes sense that he would be prominently featured in the trailer while the other Spider-Men were hidden for as long as they could.

Anne Hathaway

Christopher Nolan probably didn't want the end of his Dark Knight Trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, to be spoiled, but that didn't stop it from getting out. In fairness, this wasn't Anne Hathaway's fault. During an interview with David Letterman, Anne Hathaway was being pressured to reveal more about the highly anticipated third movie.

Letterman eventually just blurted out that Batman dies at the end of the movie and Hathaway had to play damage control. She tried to play it off like Letterman hadn't just spoiled the end of the film and said that Bruce Wayne lives. This ended up also being a spoiler also since Bruce Wayne does live while Batman dies.

Tom Holland

Tom Holland; No Way Home; MCU

It's become somewhat of a joke that Tom Holland can't keep a secret. While his smallest spoiler was saying that Sony and Marvel were planning a trilogy of Spider-Man films after Avengers: Infinity War. He thought he was walking into a theater full of people who had already seen the movie, but accidently got the show times wrong.

To an entire theater full of people, Tom Holland spoiled the fate of his character at the end of Avengers: Infinity War that the audience was just about to see (via best movie endings in the MCU.

Elizabeth Debicki

MCU stars surely have some media training when it comes to talking about their films because they can be very tight-lipped. But some newcomers might not be so experienced. Elizabeth Debicki was cast in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and was very eager to share what her role in the film was going to be. As far as spoilers go, this one is not as egregious as some others to be fair.

While doing press for the film, Debicki told Adam Warlock post-credit scene.

Hugh Jackman

Most audiences probably knew what was going to happen at the end of Logan regardless of what Hugh Jackman had to say. But during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jackman was speaking about hanging up the claws after the 2017 film. But in doing so, he accidentally told readers what was going to happen.

Speculating what will happen and being told what will happen are two different things, and Hugh Jackman probably didn't realize that his words were going to be taken literally. This interview was released the day the movie was released, so people who saw the very first screenings were spared this spoiler. He said that he liked the idea of Logan giving his life to save someone else which all but confirmed that Wolverine would be dead by the end of the film. Despite this, Logan is still considered one Hugh Jackman's best films.

Mark Ruffalo

Bruce Banner in the Hulkbuster in Avengers: Infinity War

Mark Ruffalo has played the Marvel hero the Hulk in many projects after he replaced Edward Norton in the 2012 film The Avengers. But when it came to Avengers: Infinity War he let slip the biggest twist in the entire movie. Don Cheadle, who was doing the press with him, tried to move on, but the damage had been done.

During an interview with Good Morning America, Mark Ruffalo said "wait till you see this next one, everyone dies." Ruffalo spent the next few seconds of the interview trying to make sure he wasn't in trouble, but they were probably the longest few seconds of his life. Fans of the third Avengers film will no doubt that Thanos wins at the end of the film and anyone paying attention to Ruffalo wouldn't have been surprised by that.
