Beerus holds an immutable position as one of the most powerful beings in all of The Dragon Ball Heroes lore delves much deeper into the heavenly bureaucracy that permeates each universe, eventually revealing that one creature has the power to nullify any Hakai energy. This creature’s power is meant to keep balance in the universe, but order may just be a God of Destruction’s biggest weakness.
Despite having potentially millennia of training and combat experience, Beerus’ greatest power is undoubtedly his Hakai energy, or the power to destroy. This ability is so powerful it can erase souls from existence. Its energy is so potent, Beerus even assumed that its usage would somehow rectify mistakes in other timelines when he erased Zamasu. Even though Beerus is capable of using a basic form of Ultra Instinct, his main power is still in the form of Hakai energy, and having this stripped from him would be a massive nerf to his fighting capabilities.
In Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Big Bang Mission, Beerus receives a prophecy from the Oracle Fish in which it is foretold that a mysterious bird will appear in Universe 7 and bring about the destruction of all universes thereafter. In response to this threat, every God of Destruction from the twelve universes assembles in Universe 7. They find a mysterious bird shortly in the hands of Future Trunks from another dimension and Beerus wastes no time trying to destroy it. Though his initial energy blast was redirected at the hands of Trunks, the God of Destruction of Universe 4, Quitela, volunteers to destroy the Earth. This attempt is cut short, however, by the revelation that the mysterious bird is capable of wrapping each God of Destruction in its own ki, sealing away their Hakai energy.
This is a massive reveal in Dragon Ball Heroes, demonstrating that no matter how imposing the Gods of Destruction may seem, there will always be some kind of power meant to keep them in check. Within the same chapter, Beerus demonstrates one of the most insane feats in all of Dragon Ball: using his ki to create a shield for the entirety of Universe 7. With the mysterious bird, later revealed to be the Bird of Time, having the power to seal away the Hakai energy of all twelve Gods of Destruction, there is no doubt that this bird would be one of Beerus’ most difficult challenges to overcome. Assuming the Gods of Destruction are around the same level in power would mean that the Bird of Time is capable of suppressing the power to destroy almost twelve universes at once.
The Bird of Time’s power is perhaps one of the most ridiculous abilities ever introduced in Dragon Ball. Its complete nullification of Hakai energy makes it immune to some of the most powerful beings in the entire multiverse. This power nullification would even extend to Goku, since he has been shown to be capable of using the Hakai as well. Though Beerus is a capable fighter in his own right, his greatest weakness comes in the form of one of Dragon Ball’s most mysterious abilities yet.
