Pedro and Chantel’s relationship was always complicated, as the pair built an air of secrecy around their love from early on, keeping their families out.
With The Family Chantel stars moving from the 90 Day series into a spin-off of their own after their wedding, Pedro and Chantel had a lot of issues between them and their families. The couple made it clear that they weren’t going to shy away from the drama, but seeing them tackle the problems they faced with their families was tough to watch, especially when it came to Pedro. While Chantel was a very hands-on partner when it came to conflict, Pedro was entirely hands-off. His ive-aggressive attitude and difficulty seeing past his own comfort made him a quick villain.
The Family Chantel Ended After Chantel & Pedro’s Divorce
The Show Was Focused On The Couple’s Struggles
Although The Family Chantel had other aspects to it, the majority of the series was focused on Chantel, Pedro, and their marriage. After hiding their relationship from their families at first, Pedro and Chantel created an air of difficulty between themselves and their families. While Pedro’s family felt skeptical about Chantel and made it clear to Pedro that they weren’t happy, their tactics to push Chantel out of Pedro’s life weren’t easy to watch. While Pedro’s family was trying to push Chantel away, her family wasn’t happy about the relationship, either. Both Pedro and Chantel fought for their partners ardently.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now
Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.
Throughout the run of The Family Chantel, it was clear that Chantel was motivating Pedro to fight for their marriage and move forward with her. Even though they were both struggling to reconcile with their families' disdain for their relationship, both Pedro and Chantel knew that they loved one another and wanted to stay together. As the show continued, however, it seemed probable that Pedro wasn’t as “in” the relationship as Chantel. While he cared for Chanel, it often felt like he was either just casually going along with what she wanted, or he was pushing for his own self-interest.
The Family Chantel Viewers Have Hoped To See The Show Return
They Don’t Feel Finished With Chantel & Pedro
After the show came to an end, with Chantel and Pedro’s relationship crumbling down around them, it was unclear if there would be any sort of future iteration of The Family Chantel. Though the show itself couldn’t return under the same pretenses, viewers were interested in seeing more from the Jimeno and Everett families. With the cast all being watched for any updates, The Family Chantel viewers have enjoyed the fact that many of them appear interested in doing other 90 Day Fiancé franchise shows, but would love to see some iteration of the series come back on its own.
Pedro Jimeno’s Life After The Family Chantel Has Been Difficult To Understand
He’s Been Overwhelmingly Focused On His Image
As Pedro has moved through his life post-show, things have been confusing for The Family Chantel fans and those who have kept up with him from the 90 Day days. Pedro’s attitude on The Family Chantel often felt more ive and self-serving, but his attitude on his social media feels inextricably off. Pedro’s online persona is someone far more clean-cut and polished than the guy fans met on The Family Chantel. Often preaching about positivity and changing his life, Pedro has become more of a motivational mouthpiece than a person using his social media to update followers on his life.
Despite Pedro’s online persona, The Family Chantel fans have been able to see him for who he is since the early days of his time in the franchise. Pedro, though he did appear to have love for Chantel, was always in their relationship for himself. With a selfish streak that Chantel and the rest of his family took notice of, Pedro was often quick to try and push his then-wife to make decisions that would suit him. Pedro was all about luxury and didn’t find himself scared to show that to the cameras, even though it made him look villainous.
I Don’t Know How Pedro Thinks He Can Stay Relevant Without Chantel
He’s Not Likable When He’s Being So Disingenuous
I’d like to see Pedro on-screen again, but not for the reasons you’d expect. Pedro has decided that the way to keep himself relevant is to create a persona online that makes him seem like he’s always preached positivity. Trying to become a motivational online presence, Pedro has been trying to share his strange brand of gratitude online, but it’s clear that he’s simply trying to outrun his villain era. After using Chantel to become relevant, The Family Chantel’s Pedro hasn’t been able to stay relevant without his ex-wife, and I don’t see him doing so in the future.
