How to Find Recipes in Stardew Valley
Learn To Cook New Dishes By Watching TV
Before being able to cook food in Stardew Valley, a player must first learn its recipe. There are a few ways to go about doing this. The best way to find recipes in Stardew Valley is to watch the television every Sunday for new episodes of "The Queen Of Sauce." Just watching will allow the player to learn a new dish. On Wednesdays, the show will air re-runs in case an episode was missed. Players can obtain additional recipes by befriending villagers, purchasing them from The Stardrop Saloon, or leveling up certain skills like fishing and mining. How to obtain each recipe in Stardew Valley is detailed below alongside the food itself.
Even if a player has the necessary ingredients, they must know the recipe to cook the meal in Stardew Valley.
Stardew Valley's sole creator, Eric Barone, intentionally made a cooking mechanic where cooked meals aren't super profitable, so players can enjoy the benefits of cooking rather than continuously click the same button in an attempt to maximize profit. This gives a more realistic feel to the game while also allowing players to explore other mechanics to make money. However, there are a few sell prices for cooked food in Stardew Valley nearly as high as the most expensive meals listed above. Here is a complete list of all recipes including the required ingredients, buffs (if any), how to obtain, and their final, cooked meal sale price.
