In addition to being able to drink mayonnaise, players can upgrade their homes, have more than one pet, and play on the new Meadowlands Farm. As you enter your winter season on a new save of this iconic farming sim, keep an eye out for Powdermelon.

How To Solve The Winter Mystery Quest in Stardew Valley
Completing the Winter Mystery Quest in Stardew Valley is quick and easy during your first year on your family's farm and provides an important gift.
How To Find Powdermelon Seeds in Stardew Valley
Your first step to finding Powdermelon seeds is to wait for winter. As one of the few crops that grow in winter, this produce is essential to making money on a new farm during lean months, particularly in the years before you get your greenhouse and animals. There are a few places where the new seeds spawn.
One way to find Powdermelon seeds is by foraging, looking in artifact spots, and digging up tufts of grass.
Using your hoe, dig up these spots daily for the best chance at finding the seeds you're looking for. The spawns for Powdermelon seeds are random, so keep at it, and you will eventually find them.
How To Get Powdermelon Seeds Without Foraging In Stardew Valley
If you don't like foraging, you can find Powdermelon seeds by purchasing them from a raccoon vendor. In spring, wait for the tree stump quest to begin, then, after getting the message that reads "there was a strong wind during the night," head to the stump to the southwest of the farm. Once here, use 100 hardwood to build a new home for the raccoon to move into. Your hungry new neighbor will ask for a smoked fish and five Cockles the next day.
After you feed him and wait a week for him to get married, the raccoon will set up shop. You can purchase seeds and books from him in exchange for foraging items. To get your Powdermelon seeds, bring two pine cones to this furry salesman.
Powdermelons are unique because they are one of the few crops that thrive in the cold. Plant some seeds in the winter, wait seven in-game days, and voila! Once your harvest begins, you can craft a Seed Harvester to get more seeds or sell your crops for 60 gold apiece.
Either way, this new crop is just one of many excellent changes in Stardew Valley and is great for keeping your farm producing in the early years of winter. Stardew Valley's 1.6 update has seen a resurgence of players returning to the game, some even trying it for the first time, so get farming and see everything this free update offers.
