Star Wars galaxy. The fifteen-year-old actor portrays the titular Percy Jackson in the newest Disney+ TV show based on the book series of the same name. Scobell’s heroics as Percy Jackson make him seem like an excellent candidate to the Star Wars galaxy for projects, and he seems he’d be open to the idea.
In a recent behind-the-scenes video posted to Instagram by the Percy Jackson (@percyseries) from episode 4, Walker Scobell says to the camera: “Have you seen The Force Awakens, the Star Wars movie?... I’ve always wanted to have a lightsaber fight outside in the snow. How awesome would that be? A final battle. Walker Scobell Would Be a Perfect Addition To Star Wars
Not only is the young actor charismatic, but he’s also proven he can hold his own in action sequences with big-name A-list actors like Ryan Reynolds. Despite just turning 15, Scobell has starred alongside Ryan Reynolds, Zoe Saldana, and Mark Ruffalo in 2022’s The Adam Project. With such a dedicated fanbase in Percy Jackson who has already embraced Scobell, bringing him into a galaxy far, far away will hopefully bring some other fans to the franchise. It’s possible that Scobell could any number of Star Wars titles like Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy's New Jedi Order film or Ahsoka season 2.
Walker Scobell is still a young and actor. It would make sense to bring him into a franchise like Star Wars, especially one he’s clearly interested in. While it may not be in any of Star Wars’ 2024 releases, there’s hope the young Percy Jackson star will get his wish of partaking in a lightsaber duel onscreen.
