While official details are still scarce, one thing that has been confirmed about the park is that it is set in an Outer Rim village on a new planet that hasn't been seen before, causing some to speculate where that might be. Now, Disney has shared this bit of information, and Batuu is where attendees will be spending most of their time when Galaxy's Edge is finally completed.

Screen Rant went to Disneyland to check out the new Star Tours attraction, which is entirely set in the sequel trilogy era. The ride ends on Batuu because the location is "safe." More details will be unveiled during the Galactic Nights event taking place next month to commemorate the premiere of The Last Jedi.
It goes without saying that Galaxy's Edge is poised to be one of the crown jewels of Disneyland and Disney World in a couple of years, fully immersing park visitors in the Star Wars universe in a way few would have thought was possible. The park is billed as a fully interactive experience with attractions based on iconic vehicles like the Millennium Falcon and a star destroyer. There will also be famous characters from the films to meet and greet, including BB-8, Chewbacca, and Kylo Ren. Ever since A New Hope first premiered in 1977, fans have wanted to travel to the galaxy, and now Disney is making those dreams come true. The decision to place the park on a new planet is smart, since it's something unfamiliar to explore.
