The impact that added so much quality, richness, and brilliance to the prequel trilogy and the extended universe, particularly in of the characters, both those fans came to know in the movies and original Clone Wars characters.

There is an extensive collection of phenomenal characters in the show, with some of the most likable, irable, and beloved in all of Star Wars, as well as some who, for one reason or another, are despised by fans.

Likable - Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan reacts to Maul's threats before he kills Satine in The Clone Wars

There may be no character in Star Wars who is so consistently excellent and appears in more major pieces of content than Obi-Wan, whether it be the original and prequel trilogy, or the two animated TV shows, alongside the extended universe of books and comics.

In The Clone Wars, Obi-Wan is just how he is in the prequels, kind, well-meaning, full of banter and charm, and incredibly likable. There are moments where he is not great, like lying to Anakin or not believing Ahsoka, but more often than not, he earns his adoration.

Can't Stand - Tan Divo

Tanivos Exantor Divo was by no means a regular on The Clone Wars, only appearing in two episodes of the show. When he did appear though, he was quite simply the worst.

One of the most cringe-worthy characters introduced in the show, his investigations in "Senate Murders" made him incredibly unlikable as a stuck up, arrogant, and clueless police inspector.

Likable - Anakin Skywalker & Pé Amidala

Anakin and Pé enjoy quiet alone time during a short time-off from the war in the Clone Wars

As a pair in the prequel trilogy, Anakin and Pé do not fit particularly well, despite how beloved the two characters are. Together they are pretty unlikable, despite how likable Pé is on her own, and how sympathetic Anakin is.

In The Clone Wars, though, the couple is incredibly likable, and fit well as a romantic couple, only being unappealing when Anakin gets terribly angry and jealous. As individuals, the two are incredibly likable also, with Pé being her same strong, caring self, and Anakin being charismatic, sympathetic, and a true friend to those he cares for.

Can't Stand - The Martez Sisters

The fan reaction to the Martez sisters and their arc with Ahsoka may have gotten a little too toxic in some instances. But ignoring that ugly side of the fandom, there is no doubting the subpar quality of the arc and characters compared to others.

The arc itself could have easily fit into two or three episodes, yet was dragged out to four. The majority of fans did not take to the pair of sisters at all. Rafa is reasonably realistic, and is good in the last episode of the arc despite a rocky start. Trace, however, is just annoying and naive.

Likable - Plo Koon

Plo Koon n Clone Wars

The series did a great job at building on the Jedi Order who were not fleshed out at all in the prequels, with a few standouts including Kit Fisto, Luminara Unduli, Barriss Offee, and Plo Koon.

The words "not to me" onwards, Plo Koon was a fan favorite, and immediately established him as one of the best and most likable Jedi. From there that continued consistently, from finding out he took Ahsoka in, to him being the only Jedi on the Council with even a shred of belief in her.

Can't Stand - Commander Fox

Clone Wars Commander Fox Star Wars

In general, the clones are great and adored by fans. But there are a couple of exceptions to that, one of which being Commander Fox, hated for doing his duty but in the worst, most hatable way.

Fox was commander of the Coruscant Guard, and a trigger happy one who shot and killed Fives (when stun was very much an option) as well as having a role in hunting Ahsoka, making him by far the most hated clone, with only Dogma even coming close.

Likable - Captain Rex (& A Lot Of Other Clones)

Captain Rex in Star Wars The Clone Wars season 7

But, as mentioned, generally clones are great, the very best in fact. And in of likability, the best of the best is Captain Rex of the 501st, alongside brothers of his (which include Fives, Echo, Jesse, and 99, and those from other battalions).

Alongside Ahsoka Tano, Rex is the main character of the show. And he grows immensely from a standard, order following clone, to an individual with a distinctive personality and a belief in his brothers. Start to finish, Rex is brilliant.

Can't Stand - Mace Windu

Mace Windu offers the droids a chance to stand down before he kills them in Star Wars the Clone Wars.

Mace Windu is a bit of a strange one. On the one hand, he is an incredibly cool, often badass character, but, on the other hand, most fans cannot stand him in The Clone Wars.

His attitude towards Anakin is the same as that in the prequels; his hubris shines through, and, in the end his attitude towards Ahsoka sent most fans over the edge with him.

Likable - Ahsoka Tano

Speaking of Ahsoka Tano, her journey throughout Star Wars and with its fandom, going from despised due to the movie, to one of the most popular and incredible characters, is astounding.

Not only is she a very caring and loyal friend to the likes of Anakin, Rex, and others, but she always answers the call for help for those who need it, whether it be a warrior like Bo-Katan, a diplomat like her sister, or those who are completely helpless. She is fierce, strong, independent, and inspirational.

Can't Stand - Ziro The Hutt

Ziro the Hutt in Star Wars The Clone Wars

There are many characters who are, at times, utterly intolerable in Star Wars and The Clone Wars, from Jar Jar on occasion, to Nute Gunray most of the time. But in of original Clone Wars characters, Ziro the Hutt takes the cake.

From his Al Capone-esque voice to his sheer deplorable behavior, Ziro the Hutt is not only a disgusting yet generic Hutt villain, but he is also unbelievably annoying.
