Even before Disney purchased Lucasfilm (and therefore the Star Wars universe) in 2012, Star Wars had a presence at the Disney theme parks. The Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, the Star Wars-themed land located at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, fully immerses visitors in the Star Wars universe. There are two rides, Star Wars: Millennium Falcon – Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and many familiar characters, including stormtroopers, through and interact with people.
