now just a mix of feelings for the trilogies end.

One thing that has been consistent throughout the trilogy though, is the great performances. The trilogy has seen arguably the best across the board, top to the bottom ensemble of performances of the three Star Wars trilogies. This list will look at these performances, so, here are the 10 best performers of the sequel trilogy.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

DOMHNALL GLEESON AS GENERAL ARMITAGE HUX

General Hux speech on Starkiller Base

Despite the writing of the character between the three films, Gleeson delivers well. In The Force Awakens, he is a warmonger general who inspires his nazi-esque troops, in The Last Jedi he is treated as more of a joke, and in The Rise Of Skywalker, is less of a joke but does not play a big role.

Nonetheless, his speech in The Force Awakens is brilliantly delivered and in all three films, he inspires some good laughs from audiences. Even though he does not play a huge part in the trilogy, lines such as "Do you think you got him?" are gold and prove his worth.

ANTHONY DANIELS AS C-3PO

C-3PO has his memory wiped in order to read ancient Sith language in Star Wars Rise Of Skywalker Cover

Maybe it is recency bias, but Anthony Daniels as Threepio earns his way onto this list purely because of his role in The Rise Of Skywalker. He does have his small moments in both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, he shines in the trilogy's finale.

In The Rise Of Skywalker Daniels delivers some tear-inducing and also some hilarious lines brilliantly. His unaware banter with Poe is great and the emotion he manages to pull out of fans at points is brilliant. He is so low down due to only really shining in one film, and that he is disadvantaged by being just a voice, but he does fantastically in the film.

CARRIE FISHER AS GENERAL LEIA ORGANA

Star Wars Rise of Skywalker Leia With Lightsaber

With the late, great Carrie Fisher no longer with us it was always going to be hard getting her a satisfying end in The Rise Of Skywalker, but with the use of unused footage, it is pulled off well and in that footage, Fisher is the typically great Leia.

Seeing Leia in The Force Awakens and with the limited work, she has to do in the film Fisher does it so naturally, the same applies to The Last Jedi. When it comes to The Rise Of Skywalker, Leia and Fisher pull such emotion from the audience and while that may be down to external factors, had Fisher not been so consistently great, the emotion would not be as abundant.

ANDY SERKIS AS SUPREME LEADER SNOKE

Snoke

Snoke may well go down as one of the biggest mistakes of the sequel trilogy, but Serkis' performance as the powerful creation of Palpatine is brilliant. Serkis is the King of motion capture and that coupled with his amazing voice makes Snoke.

There is so much intrigue surrounding Snoke in The Force Awakens and based on Serkis' voice work alone he is seen as powerful and intimidating. Despite his death in The Last Jedi, Serkis' work as Snoke is brilliant, from his facial expressions to his genuinely evil voice, it all works very well, even if the character was a miss to some.

HARRISON FORD AS HAN SOLO

Chewbacca and Han Solo are reunited with the Millennium Falcon in The Force Awakens

Harrison Ford could have so easily put in zero effort and have it come across on screen in The Force Awakens, however, perhaps it is because of his natural charisma, Ford delivers a classic Han Solo performance which would have fell below Serkis' had it not been for his scene in The Rise Of Skywalker.

Ford's appearance in the finale of the trilogy is short, sweet and special, it is fitting that the iconic Han Solo should appear in the saga's end and J. J. managed to do it in a way that did not feel forced and that, thanks to Ford and Driver, was pretty beautiful. Ford may not love Han Solo, but the fact he put in any amount of effort when he could have done nothing is all we fans could have asked and it leads to a brilliant scene and great performance.

JOHN BOYEGA AS FINN

John Boyega Finn Cover

Finn's character arc may have hit some bumps along the way and gotten stuck in a loop of screaming Rey's name, but through all three films no matter the direction the character took, John Boyega was great.

From Stormtrooper to saving Rey in The Force Awakens, Boyega delivers charismatically and gives a likable, fun performance. Boyega also does great in The Last Jedi with a different character direction. Then to end it, in The Rise Of Skywalker Finn is cool, funny, having a great dynamic with his friends and is at the heart of the movie. Ultimately Boyega may be overlooked and underrated for other performers but is fantastic consistently.

OSCAR ISAAC AS POE DAMERON

Poe Dameron in Star Wars The Rise Of Skywalker

Oscar Isacc is an extremely talented and successful actor who oozes charm and charisma and brings all those assets to the sequel trilogy. From his and John Boyega's chemistry in The Force Awakens to hi Hs personal journey in The Last Jedi to his final rise to the leader in The Rise Of Skywalker, Isaac brings it every time.

Dameron/Isaac is consistently funny and charming and manages to have chemistry with all characters and performers around him. Whether it is Rey, Zorri, Kylo, Finn, or the droids, each combination of, and each interaction between Poe and another character seem to shine, thanks to Isaac.

MARK HAMILL AS LUKE SKYWALKER

Star Wars The Last Jedi Luke

It is arguably unfair to put Hamill above Boyega and Isaac given he only gives a full performance in one film, and there is such a fine line between the three to the point they are all interchangeable along with number 2. But Mark Hamill delivers such a fantastic individual performance, arguably the best in all of Star Wars in The Last Jedi that he earns his spot.

A lot of people dislike the route Rian Johnson takes with Luke's character in The Last Jedi, but Hamill gives such a powerful, emotional and memorable performance that even if you hate Luke's arc, there is no denying the spectacular outing by Hamill. Every word is delivered brilliantly, every controversial action is done fantastically, Hamill is unbelievable and truly is Luke Skywalker.

DAISY RIDLEY AS REY

Daisy Ridley as Rey in Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker

Again, Ridley is arguably interchangeable with the previous three entries, but from The Force Awakens to The Rise Of Skywalker Rey's character grows, develops and matures as does Ridley's performance. It all culminates in Rey being an absolute badass in the final installment with Ridley's chemistry with Driver helping deliver three exceptional performances.

In The Force Awakens, she is such a likable scavenger developing relationships with Finn, BB-8, Han, and Chewbacca. Then in The Last Jedi, her time with Kylo/Driver shines, so too does her exchanges with Luke and Snoke, she is torn and emotional and it is great. Ridley gives the finest female performance in Star Wars since Carrie Fisher in the original trilogy, that is special.

HONORABLE MENTIONS: Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose), Ian McDiarmid (Palpatine), Lupita NYong'o (Maz).

ADAM DRIVER AS KYLO REN/BEN SOLO

Kylo Ren speaks with Han Solo before killing him on Starkiller Base in The Force Awakens

What a fantastic actor Adam Driver is. From Marriage Story, Logan Lucky, and BlackKklansman, to the Star Wars saga, he consistently delivers. Torn, emotional, and raw, Kylo is a fascinating and brilliantly performed character which is undoubtedly the finest pure acting in the whole trilogy.

Kylo's relationship with Rey is obviously the highlight, but his emotional exchanges with Han, his clear attachment to Leia, and his turn back to Ben are all fantastic. His delivery, his expressions, his demeanor, it is all brilliant and Driver may well deliver the best three-film performance of any Star Wars actor.
