With each ing year, more and more characters from the Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the hype around Ahsoka, Andor, and many other shows and movies (including one about Thrawn), it's easy for fans to hope that their favorite character gets their own feature.
Throughout the show, Star Wars: Rebels a new array of characters are introduced, alongside some familiar ones. While some of them get ample time on screen, others don't leaving their lives a mystery making fans curious for more.
Vizago
There are a handful of characters in the Star Wars franchise that tend to play whatever side benefits them best at the time, and Vizago is one of those characters. Vizago is a Devaronian crime lord that Ezra and the rest of the Rebels meet on Lothal. While some clearly lean towards one side more than the other, Vizago seems to remain pretty neutral and truly leans toward whatever helps him the most, until the end when he helps the Rebels in their final battle.
As The Bad Batch introduced another Devaronian, getting to learn more about Vizago, and his people would make for a really interesting movie. Being able to see if Vizago was always a nefarious individual, or if it is just what his life became could be a good prequel to his character arc in Rebels.
Wilhuff Tarkin
As one of the most terrifying Imperial Officers, Wilhuff Tarkin is one of the characters that fans see in multiple live-action movies as well as animated shows. While in all of these, he appears to be on the side on the same side as Chancellor Palpatine, this was not always the case.
In The Clone Wars Tarkin can be seen working with Anakin and Obi-Wan, although he still gives off 'bad-guy' vibes. Having a movie about him to learn more about his time on the side with Jedi would give his character more depth as well as give more clues to whether or not he knew beforehand if Anakin was destined to become Darth Vader.
Fenn Rau
Between Boba Fett, there are plenty of pieces out about different Mandalorian characters. That doesn't mean fans wouldn't want to see more though. Both of the Star Wars animated shows have a somewhat heavy focus on the Mandalorian people at one point or another.
Fenn Rau was one that became rather prominent in Rebels as he was taken hostage by Hera and her crew, and eventually turned to their side and ended up helping them. Clearly, there is much more to his story than shown, and seeing a Mandalorian show that covers all Mandalorians and their conflicts and agreements would be really interesting.
Ryder Azadi
A movie about Ryder Azadi would show a lot of the history of Lothal, which is an important planet in the Star Wars franchise before the war broke out on the planet. Ryder's origin story would not only tell fans more about Lothal, but it would also tell them more about Ezra's parents - Ephraim and Mira Bridger.
With how much Ezra was hoping to see them again, learning a little bit about them could help shape his character some more too. Getting to view the way that Ryder governed the Lothal sector and how he lost control of it to the empire could really help make some sense of the role he played in Rebels as well.
Rex, Wolffe, & Gregor
These three clone troopers were taking residence in an old, modified AT-TE and had learned to live off the land, even though there wasn't much to live off of. Seeing Rex, a well-known, fan-favorite, and Wolffe and Gregor show back up, begs the question of how they survived all that time.
In the show The Bad Batch, fans get to see how the Bad Batch survived Order 66, and there is no shortage of hardships for them. Seeing if Wolffe always struggled to trust Jedi, or the story that made him this way would add an extra layer to the movie that would make it great to see.
Bendu
Both The Clone Wars and Rebels shed new light on the Force connection that the Jedi, and some other species, have. In Rebels, fans were introduced to a Force-sensitive being named Bendu on the planet Atollon. Bendu said himself to be the neutral part of the Force, and that he didn't take sides when conflict arose.
He imparts much wisdom on Ezra and Kanan, and Bendu has some of the best quotes in the show. Putting him next to the Father, Son, and Daughter from the episode "Altar of Mortis" in The Clone Wars would maybe one of the most telling movies of all time as The Force has always been one of the more allusive and mysterious parts of the Jedi and the Sith's ways.
Agent Kallus
From season one of Rebels fans see Agent Kallus pursue Hera Syndulla and her crew relentlessly. Fans hear of the monstrosities and horrors that he committed against other people and planets, and then one day he comes out as a rebel spy and ed their side. Kallus might have been one of the deepest under-cover spies for the good guys ever.
A movie on him to see how it all started, if he was originally a spy for the rebels trained intensely to rise among the ranks of the Imperials and commit murders and destroy planets, but still report to those he was destroying and hurting, would be a heartbreaking backstory, but one that might do him some justice.
Garazeb Orrelios
One of the last surviving Lasats in the galaxy, Garazeb Orrelios continued to fight for his fallen people throughout the show. He is a character that fans learn a decent bit about, but getting the chance to see his life before he became a member of Hera's crew would make for a great movie.
Fans know that he was a Captain of the Lasan Honor Guard on his home planet, and his drive and moral com throughout the show display the strength he gained from that position. An origin movie about Zeb, his life on Lasan, and getting to learn more about his people would allow fans to make more sense of how they actually survived and ended up on Lira San.
Kanan Jarrus
The Padawan that survived Order 66, Caleb Dume, who later took on the name Kanan Jarrus, was another one of the main characters of the show that fans get to know relatively well. It's his story before he became a member of Hera's crew that would make a good movie though. As fans of The Bad Batch know, it was Hunter that let him escape in the midst of Order 66 being executed.
After that, Caleb became Kanan and hid his Jedi training and powers to survive. There was quite some time in between then and when Rebels took place, leaving plenty of space for an interesting story to take place that could teach fans a lot about this powerful Jedi. There are even rumors he might be one of the Jedi survivors that shows up in Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Hera Syndulla
Of all the characters, Hera Syndulla, Captain of the Ghost and leader of the Phoenix Squadron, might be the most deserving of her own movie. Hera overcame a lot to pursue her dream of becoming the universes' best pilot.
Losing her mother, leaving her father and her people, and finding her own family shows her resiliency, but from the flashbacks fans saw in the show, it took some time for her to get to where she ended up. Learning more about her family, and how she found each member of her crew and became the leader and fighter fans see in the show would be one of the best Star Wars origin stories of all time.
